Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company expands sugarcane raw material area

In order to anticipate domestic sugar consumption demand and develop the sugar industry in a sustainable direction, in mid-2025, Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company will continue to expand raw material areas and increase processing capacity.

Currently, the company is operating two large sugar factories, of which An Khe Sugar Factory has a sugarcane pressing capacity of 18,000 tons/day and is expected to increase to 25,000 tons/day at the beginning of the 2025–2026 crop year.

The company's total sugarcane growing area is currently about 30,000 hectares. The goal for the 2027-2028 crop year is to increase the growing area to 40,000 hectares, in order to proactively provide a stable, high-quality supply for production.

Along with expanding its scale, Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company has implemented many programs to support farmers such as production mechanization, digital transformation in cultivation management, and research and development of new sugarcane varieties with high productivity and sugar storage. These are important solutions to improve production efficiency and develop sugarcane growing areas in a sustainable manner, meeting the long-term development requirements of the industry.
