The province has implemented many programs to support OCOP entities in registering intellectual property, trademarks, and growing area codes; as well as strengthening connection activities, supporting the introduction of local products to e-commerce platforms, shelves of modern retail systems, etc. Thereby, contributing to promoting trade connection activities, trade promotion, bringing Vietnamese brands and local OCOP products to the market.
Diversified local OCOP products
As of June 2025, Dong Nai has 439 products certified with OCOP from 3 stars or higher, of which 11 products meet national 5-star OCOP standards. Dong Nai province (old) alone has 298 products certified with OCOP (of which 8 are 5-star OCOP products, 50 products are 4-star). Many OCOP products are processed agricultural products such as: jackfruit, pineapple, taro, processed products from bananas, instant coffee, traditional coffee... In particular, there are 3 OCOP products: community tourism services, eco-tourism and tourist attractions.
Binh Phuoc province (old) has 141 products certified with OCOP from 3-star to 5-star (including 3 5-star products; 73 4-star products) with 99 participating entities. Many key local agricultural products are certified, notably products from cashew nuts (garlic chili cashew nuts, cheese cashew nuts, salted roasted cashew nuts, Yum Thai cashew nuts, cashew cake), bird's nest (refined bird's nest, jarred bird's nest, bird's nest porridge, bird's nest coffee), coffee, pepper, melon, durian, grapefruit...
The quality, technical standards, and packaging of OCOP products are increasingly developing, demonstrating the clear progress of farmers' production level. This is the result of effective direction from the province to the grassroots level and the participation of businesses, organizations, and individuals who are producing products for the market and the positive response of the people. |
Dong Nai's 5-star OCOP products stand out such as: salted egg cheese flavored cashews, original salted roasted cashews, garlic chili flavored cashews, nutritious seed cakes of Nga Bien Import Export Company Limited (Xuan Hoa commune), pure cocoa powder and 3-in-1 cocoa powder products of Trong Duc Cacao Company Limited (Phu Hoa commune), white cashew nuts, salted roasted cashews and unsalted roasted cashews of Ha My Joint Stock Company (Dong Phu commune)...
Deputy Director of Nga Bien Import-Export Company Limited, Hieu Le, said that the company also focuses on developing processed cashew products under the Vigonuts brand. In particular, the company always pays attention to investing, improving product quality, improving design and packaging, as well as regularly surveying and understanding consumer tastes to develop new product lines with many unique flavors, suitable for market trends.
According to Co.opmart Dong Xoai Supermarket, not only is it a place to provide quality products from prestigious domestic and foreign brands, the supermarket is also a bridge to bring OCOP products of Dong Nai farmers in particular and farmers from provinces and cities across the country in general, closer to consumers. Currently, Co.opmart Dong Xoai is arranging a separate booth in the self-service area to display and sell OCOP products.

The products on sale include many local OCOP products such as: Vinahe cashews, Ba Tu cashews, Tan Trieu grapefruits... In addition, the Saigon Co.op system has also exploited and put into business many products originating from Dong Nai such as: Bien Hoa sugar, salted roasted almonds, some seasonal fruits such as: tangerines, Long Khanh guava, fragrant bananas, Thai mangoes...
Promote consumption stimulation activities
Modern distribution systems, supermarkets and shopping malls are important channels to bring goods to consumers.
Director of Big C Dong Nai Supermarket Le Van Hong shared that the supermarket is increasingly interested in connecting to bring OCOP products to the shelves. This booth currently has more than 20 products from localities in the province. To improve the consumption efficiency of OCOP products, local OCOP entities need to increase promotion and demand stimulation programs to attract consumers and create unique highlights for the products...
Director of Co.opmart Dong Xoai Nguyen Thi Bach Van shared that the new system of Co.opmart supermarkets in Dong Nai province will increase the exchange of experiences on the characteristics and shopping and consumption perspectives of local people to be able to support the exploitation and maximum service of people's needs. In addition, units can also search for and supply each other with local specialties and OCOP products to serve consumers in different areas in the area...
Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Tran Duong Hung shared that the Department of Industry and Trade will deploy strategic plans and solutions to connect OCOP products to the system of commercial centers and supermarkets in the province to increase the proportion of local OCOP products in supermarkets and commercial centers in the province. In particular, one of the criteria to note is to enhance the responsibility of supermarkets in supporting the connection to put OCOP products on shelves, and study the plan to link this with the assessment and classification of supermarkets in the area.
