On August 31, the price of Musang King durian grade A was recorded to increase to 80,000 VND/kg, up 5,000 VND compared to yesterday. This is a positive signal as Vietnam's durian exports are regaining growth momentum.

The total output of the province is estimated at 392,000 tons, an increase of about 30,000 tons compared to the previous year, thanks to the expansion of the harvesting area to more than 26,600 hectares.
Gia Lai has also begun the harvest season. The price of durian in the garden fluctuates between 65,000 and 75,000 VND/kg, with an area of nearly 8,500 hectares and an estimated output of 80,000 tons.

Export growth momentum
Vietnam’s durian exports have recovered strongly after a slowdown at the beginning of the year. In July 2025 alone, the turnover reached 350-400 million USD, bringing the total value for 7 months to 1.2 billion USD. In the first quarter, exports were less than 100 million USD per month, but from May onwards, they accelerated significantly and maintained a breakthrough momentum.
The decisive factor is strict quality control, meeting the requirements of the Chinese market. In addition, frozen durian products are increasingly asserting their competitive advantages, opening up great opportunities in China and Northeast Asian countries.
