Ensuring security and order after commune-level merger

After completing the arrangement and consolidation of the commune-level administrative apparatus according to the policies of the central and provincial governments, the commune-level police force in the whole province quickly stabilized its organization, ensuring no interruption in the work of maintaining security and order, effectively serving the political tasks in the locality.

Quang Ha commune was established on the basis of merging Quang Ha town, Quang Minh, Quang Chinh, Quang Phong communes and 2 villages of Quang Long commune. Right from the first day of operating under the new model,   The commune police quickly stabilized the organization, implemented a plan to conduct a general review of the area, grasped the security and order situation, accessed and synchronized population data, professional data, updated local records, organizational charts and hotspots at risk of crime and social evils to develop effective prevention and combat plans. The unit increased night patrols and controls, combined with administrative inspections in high-risk areas, such as inter-commune roads, boarding houses, border areas, etc., contributing to deterring and strictly handling violations of the law.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung, Chief of Quang Ha Commune Police, shared: The commune is expanding, the population is high, and the terrain is complex. The commune police are assigned 28 officers and soldiers, including 5 current deputy chiefs of commune police, who are all chiefs and deputy chiefs of commune police before the merger. Immediately after completing the apparatus, the unit continued to deploy tasks to ensure security and order, maintain night patrols, and not leave the area empty. At the same time, it increased its monitoring of the area, proactively went to each residential area, village, and hamlet to meet, listen to opinions, promptly answer questions, and handle situations arising at the grassroots level.

In urban areas such as Cao Xanh Ward, the Ward Police have reassigned tasks to officers and stabilized the organization. Administrative activities, especially in areas directly related to people such as residence, vehicle registration, and violation handling, have been maintained smoothly, without congestion or delays.

Major Nguyen Van Cuong, Chief of Cao Xanh Ward Police, said: Immediately after the merger, the police force urgently checked the area, grasped the security situation, and controlled key subjects to promptly detect and handle signs of violations. Notably, on June 30, 2025, in less than 24 hours after receiving the information, the Ward Police successfully investigated and arrested a motorbike thief, recovering all evidence thanks to data from the security camera system and professional measures.

At the same time, the management andeducation of people serving sentences in the community has been strengthened. The unit has directly called and warned 23 cases of suspended sentences, suspended sentences and suspended sentences, disseminated the law and signed commitments not to re-offend. These efforts not only demonstrate the high sense of responsibility of the Ward Police, but also contribute to strengthening people's trust in the lenient policy of the Party and State.

In all localities in the province, the police force quickly stabilized its organization and deployed its tasks right from the first day of operating the two-level local government. Working groups such as: Regional police, crime prevention, public order police, security... were strengthened according to the instructions of the Ministry of Public Security .

The merger not only changed the location, but also required innovation in the way of organizing work. The police force reviewed all targets and tasks from the old units, increased the number of on-duty forces, built a closed patrol plan; and strengthened the security camera system to monitor and promptly handle arising situations.

Although the force is still small, the area is large, and the workload has increased, with the spirit of solidarity and discipline, the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police have overcome initial difficulties, ensuring security and order, creating an important foundation for the sustainable development of the locality.   Local police forces are determined to continue improving the quality of administrative reform, proactively grasp the situation, prevent crimes, and constantly build a regular, elite, and modern force, worthy of being a solid support for the people in the new situation.
