Vietnam demands that China immediately stop illegal survey activities of Haiyang 26 ship

Ms. Pham Thu Hang emphasized that Vietnam is extremely concerned and resolutely protests, and at the same time demands that China immediately stop the illegal survey activities of the Haiyang 26 ship in Vietnam's exclusive economic zone and continental shelf established in accordance with the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS); not repeat similar illegal activities, fully respect Vietnam's sovereignty and jurisdiction, respect international law and comply with UNCLOS, the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC), seriously implement the common perception of the two countries' senior leaders on better controlling and resolving disagreements at sea, maintaining the development momentum of bilateral relations, and making positive and responsible contributions to peace and stability in the East Sea.
