According to the Times Of Israel on July 13, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently paid a 4-day visit to Washington (USA).
Mr Netanyahu affirmed that the trip was "very successful", while denying information from some media that he wanted to hinder the reaching of a ceasefire agreement with Hamas and prolong the conflict in Gaza.

"The trip was very successful, after the great victory in Iran. We have many tasks to do and I am determined to complete them," Prime Minister Netanyahu said in a video posted on his X account.
"We accepted the agreement, including the amendments that the mediators put forward. We agreed, but Hamas rejected it," Netanyahu said, referring to the latest proposals being discussed in Doha.
"What does Hamas want? They want to stay in Gaza, they want us to leave so they can rearm, so they can continue to attack us. I will not accept that. I will do everything to free the (Israeli) hostages, to bring the hostages back home," the Israeli prime minister added.
Asked about polls showing a majority of Israelis support a hostage deal, Prime Minister Netanyahu argued: "I also support a deal but the questions do not show the other side of the issue. The polls are manipulated to mislead the public with the wording of the questions not reflecting the true nature of the issue."
Prime Minister Netanyahu also reiterated the other goal of the war in Gaza, which is to eliminate Hamas and ensure that Gaza will no longer be a threat to Israel.
