These days, Phu Ninh Lake (section in Phu Ninh commune, Da Nang ) is in the dry season, revealing vast grasslands, emerald green lake water, majestic mountains and forests creating a beautiful, peaceful natural picture.

The prolonged heat has caused the lake's water source to dry up, revealing alluvial flats, rocky outcrops everywhere in the lake, and green lawns creating a poetic scene.

A check-in spot for young people is the lonely tree located in the middle of a small oasis in the heart of Phu Ninh lake.

About 20m from Long Son 2 dam, Phu Ninh commune, there is a mound of earth rising in the middle of the lake, in the middle there is only one tree (a type of banyan tree) about 5m high with a lush canopy.

This tree was planted by local people on a mound in the middle of the lake many years ago. Because there is only one tree on the mound, people call it the lonely tree.

The most beautiful moment of the lonely tree is probably at dawn or dusk.

Many people flock to the lonely tree to check-in and capture the sunset or sunrise moments at Phu Ninh lake next to the lonely tree.

During the rainy season, the water rises, and the lonely tree lies in the middle of the lake. Now, in the dry season, around the mound of alluvial soil, there is a lonely green tree with lush grass growing, and visitors can easily move closer to the lonely green tree in the middle of the lake to check-in.

Nguyen Van Tan Truong (student of Hue Industrial College) and his friends traveled more than 170km from Hue to explore a place he accidentally learned about through social networks.

"When I saw the scenery here with my own eyes, I was surprised by the wild and captivating natural beauty of this scene. The lake surface, the green mountains and forests, and the lonely trees, the scene looked so peaceful," Truong shared.

Ms. Phuong Giang (residing in Huong Tra ward, Da Nang) said that the scenery here is so chill, there are many beautiful photo angles, just need to raise the camera to have a beautiful photo right away.

Not only do many locals and tourists come to check-in, but there are also foreigners who come here not only to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake, take souvenir photos next to the lonely tree, but also to feel the fresh air of the lake and green trees.

Phu Ninh Lake is an artificial lake, located in Nui Thanh and Phu Ninh districts, Quang Nam province (old), now Da Nang city. This is a large-scale irrigation project, with a water surface area of over 3,400 hectares and 23,000 hectares of protective forest. The lake has a capacity of 344 million m³ of water for irrigation of 23,000 hectares of rice and crops. In the lake, there are about 30 small islands with beautiful landscapes that are being invested in for tourism development.
