Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and localities to urgently research and implement to improve quality, strengthen management, inspection and supervision of OCOP products in the province to ensure timeliness, efficiency, compliance with regulations and suitability with the actual situation; proactively advise and propose to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and direction to resolve issues under its authority.

Previously, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment sent an official dispatch requesting the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to urgently complete the provincial OCOP product evaluation and classification council. In the process of organizing the evaluation and classification of OCOP products, it is necessary to pay attention to the requirements on: Raw material areas, product origin; conditions and certification of food safety in production, preliminary processing, and processing; product design and packaging; expiry date; quality declaration; intellectual property and environmental protection work according to regulations. In addition, it is necessary to pay attention to stabilizing the staff, management apparatus, and implementing the OCOP Program at all levels in a specialized and professional manner to continue to effectively implement the program, support OCOP entities to continue developing products, improving capacity and expanding markets; Strengthening propaganda, raising awareness and responsibility of OCOP subjects on ensuring food safety and product quality associated with local raw material areas, contributing to improving the quality of OCOP products that have been assessed and classified by competent authorities.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment also requested the People's Committees of provinces and cities to step up regular inspection and supervision of OCOP products that have been assessed and recognized, in conjunction with the roles and responsibilities of specialized management agencies on food safety, market management and management agencies on the OCOP Program; enhance the role and responsibilities of the People's Committees at the commune level in the inspection and supervision of production and processing activities of OCOP entities, especially on food safety, origin of raw materials and environmental protection. Resolutely recall OCOP products that do not ensure quality and food safety compared to regulations, and at the same time widely inform distributors and consumers about these products; be proactive in receiving information, especially feedback from the community, consumers, press agencies... to promptly inspect and handle violations according to their authority (if any) or report to competent authorities for handling according to the provisions of law.
