Mr. Duong Minh Quang, Deputy General Director of Saigon Co.op shared at the seminar that Saigon Co.op always promotes propaganda, raises awareness, determines the responsibilities and actions of staff and units in ensuring food security and safety; and the responsibilities of units that are partners of Saigon Co.op in ensuring compliance with food safety laws.
"Saigon Co.op's criteria in business operations is that we must act as a gatekeeper, strictly controlling inputs. The goal is to ensure consumer safety and completely avoid errors in quality management.
We also work with suppliers to organize classes and disseminate relevant laws to raise awareness among all suppliers.
Before selling products in the system, we have to go to the manufacturer to check whether the process and raw materials are in the safe zone or not. This is to ensure that the actual growing area and the input records of the business are the same" - Mr. Duong Minh Quang said.
