In the last days of August, the whole country was bustling and excited to welcome the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. Sharing in that joy, people across the country in general and Dak Lak province in particular were even more joyful and excited to receive a meaningful gift from the Government (100,000 VND/person).

The gift is not big in material terms, but contains deep feelings and care, contributing to making this year's Independence Day more complete and warm.

For complete joy

To ensure that the gifts reach each person quickly, these days, officials from communes, wards and banks have worked throughout the holiday to promptly deliver the gifts from the Party and State to the people on the special occasion of National Day September 2, 2025. The images of commune and ward officials meticulously checking the list, and bank employees standing at the counter to pay money to units have become beautiful features of this year's Independence Day.

In the jubilant and excited atmosphere of the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people, on the morning of August 31, officers of the Payment Accounting and Treasury Transaction Department, State Bank Branch Region 11 were still on duty to promptly complete procedures and pay cash to commercial banks to ensure that all people could receive gifts.

In Dak Lak province, according to Decision No. 1867/QD-TTg dated August 29, 2025, the Prime Minister has allocated 330,424,600,000 VND to 102 communes and wards in the province to implement the policy of giving gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Mr. Nguyen Kim Cuong, Director of the State Bank of Vietnam Branch 11 said: “Implementing the direction of the Government, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam and the Provincial People's Committee on giving gifts from the State to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 , the State Bank of Vietnam Branch 11 has assigned staff of relevant departments to work throughout the 4-day holiday and maintain a full and timely payment system and treasury to meet the payment and cash needs of commercial banks to ensure the amount and time of gifts for people according to regulations to reach people before September 2”.

Accordingly, on August 30 and 31, in Dak Lak province, the unit promptly paid cash to commercial banks with a total amount of about 250 billion VND out of a total of over 330 billion VND given as gifts to people in the province on this occasion. The implementation was quick, complete and avoided any delays or errors in the payment process.

Commercial banks are also proactive and ready to serve cash disbursements to the State Treasury, including after-hours and holidays; ensuring timely money transfers and cash withdrawals for gifts to people, within the prescribed time.

In Buon Ma Thuot ward, on this occasion, the whole ward had 162,427 people in 89 hamlets and residential groups receiving gifts on September 2; after checking, 21,985 people received through social security accounts, the rest will receive cash. As soon as there was official information about the gift giving, the locality held a meeting to plan the payment and count and check the recipients of the money in accordance with regulations and in a timely manner.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Lan, Vice Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot Ward People's Committee, giving gifts to people is not simply a material value, this gift also has great spiritual meaning, arousing national pride and is a humane policy of the Government , demonstrating the deep concern of the Party and State for the people. To promptly implement, the locality has mobilized ward, hamlet and residential group officials to work throughout the holidays to make payments in accordance with the spirit of correct, sufficient, public and transparent spending.

On August 31 and September 1, the Ward People's Committee will arrange staff to join the self-management boards of hamlets and residential groups to hand over the State's gifts to the people before September 2; the locations for receiving gifts are at the hamlet hall, residential group, hamlet community house... For households that, for objective reasons, cannot receive gifts during this period, the locality will continue to make payments in accordance with regulations before September 15, 2025. Gifts will be given to households, the head of household or authorized person will receive and transfer them to members on their behalf. In cases where there is no permanent residence registration, gifts will be given directly to each individual or legally authorized person.

On the morning of August 31, Buon Ma Thuot Ward invited representatives of some households in the area to the Ward People's Committee to present the money the Government gave to people on the occasion of National Day, September 2. The joy and jubilation were evident in the eyes and smiles of each person when they came to receive the gifts.

Even happier, this morning, when I held in my hand the amount of 600 thousand VND from 6 family members, I could not contain my emotions. It is a very difficult feeling to describe, not only because of the material value but also because this gift has great spiritual meaning, arousing national pride and touching the hearts of people in each village”.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Doan, a resident of Thanh Cong Residential Group 13, Buon Ma Thuot Ward, was also very excited and looking forward to receiving gifts on the occasion of National Day September 2. On Doan excitedly said: “On this occasion, the whole country is welcoming the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. I myself am 76 years old and this is the first time I have received gifts from the State, so I am very happy and touched. The amount of money each person receives cannot be measured in value, but it shows the care and affection of the Party and State for the people; at the same time, it is also a way to encourage each person to try to fulfill their responsibilities and obligations as a Vietnamese citizen.”

In other residential areas in the province, the atmosphere of celebrating National Day on September 2nd became more special than ever. Along with cultural and artistic activities, the giving of gifts from the Government turned the payment points into "meeting places of joy".

In the border commune of Ia Lop, local officials are also busy and making efforts to deliver gifts to the people. Mr. Nguyen Duy Khang, Party cell secretary and head of Trung village proudly said that although it is a holiday, all the officials in Trung village are happy and ready to participate in delivering gifts from the State to the people. For many people, especially the disadvantaged households in Trung village, 100,000 VND is a valuable amount of money for them to buy some more food or make preparations for the holiday to be more complete.

It can be said that the gift given to each citizen on the occasion of National Day September 2 this year is not only material support, but also a very meaningful "spiritual medicine".
