Clear blue beach, long stretch of white sand, beautiful and peaceful, 3.5 hours drive from Hanoi

Recently, the image of a rocky beach located on the coast of white sand and clear water in Thanh Hoa has attracted attention on social networks, making many tourists curious to find a place to take photos.

According to research, this place is Son Hai rock beach, also known as Sun rock, 1km from Hai Hoa beach center, Tinh Gia ward, Thanh Hoa (formerly Hai Hoa ward, Nghi Son town, Thanh Hoa) walking by sea and about 3.5km by residential road.

This rocky beach is a check-in photo spot that tourists should not miss when traveling to Hai Hoa beach - a place blessed by nature with a peaceful and poetic space, a long, gently sloping, smooth white sand beach, and gentle waves.

"Although it has not created a strong 'fever' like Dong beach, located about 30km away, in recent times, Hai Hoa has gradually become an attractive destination," said Nguyen Huu Sinh (29 years old), a son of Hai Hoa who is working in tourism services here.

Hai Hoa Beach has a convenient location such as being near National Highway 1A, about 15km north of Nghi Son Economic Zone, can connect with many famous scenic spots and historical relics of the old Nghi Son town.

In early 2025, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province issued a decision to recognize Hai Hoa coastal tourist area as a provincial-level tourist area. This is an important premise to turn Hai Hoa coastal tourist area into one of the local tourist attractions.

Currently, in the center of Hai Hoa beach, there are many accommodation, dining, eco-tourism and resort services for tourists. However, the beach still retains its peacefulness, not too crowded or noisy, especially on weekdays.

Early at dawn, from the center of Hai Hoa beach, visitors can walk along the coastal sand to Son Hai rock beach (you can also rent a bicycle or taxi). The strangely shaped rock outcrops are revealed when the tide recedes, creating a unique photo angle.

"Early morning is also the time when fishermen go fishing for seafood such as green mussels and oysters. Tourists can experience it together, buy fresh and cheap seafood and prepare it to enjoy," Mr. Sinh suggested.

Visitors can also climb about 100m to reach the "Sun Rock" jutting out into the sea, where they can enjoy an impressive view of the sea from above.
