The highlight match of LION Championship 24 between the Vietnamese martial artist duo Ha The Anh and Nguyen Thanh Thoan and the Chinese guests Truong Yen Long - Gia Dien Tan in the doubles format (MMA Dou) took place in a rather surprising scenario when the two Chinese representatives did not cause too much difficulty for the Vietnamese martial artists.

During the 5 minutes of competition, Thanh Thoan and The Anh showed their superiority over their two opponents on the other team. Although Yen Long's forte is Kickboxing, he used very few punches and his upper body defense was very weak. The Chinese boxer almost did not create any pressure on Thanh Thoan with only one punch on target.
On the other hand, Thanh Thoan continuously struck accurately at his opponent's head. After a period of enduring the blows, Yen Long accepted defeat.
Meanwhile, Ha The Anh and Gia Dien Tan pinned each other against the cage wall. Like his teammate Yen Long, Gia Dien Tan could not launch any quality attacks on The Anh but mainly fought back in a passive position.
The stalemate between The Anh and Dien Tan was quickly broken when Thanh Thoan entered the game after defeating Yen Long. In a 2 vs 1 situation, it was no surprise that the Vietnamese pair easily finished the match, winning the overall victory.
Previously, two other Vietnamese martial arts pairs, Le Van Vu - Vo Minh Nghia and Phan Huy Hoang - Do Nguyen Minh Quyen, defeated Cambodian martial arts pairs Roem Kakada - Sot Seyha and Sry Sran - Khan Tit in the MMA Dou format.
Striking and Pro formats continue to witness exciting competitions
In other notable events, Vo Tien Dat defeated Ly Duol in the 56kg category with the first knockout of the event in the MMA Striking format; Luu Huy Duc won by split points against Dinh Van Can in the 65kg category, also in this event.
In the 60kg MMA Pro match, Danh Quoc won by KO against Dinh Trung Hieu in the first round. In the 56kg category, Liam Arnold won by submission against Bui Phong Son in the first round.
Closing LION Championship 24, LION Championship 25 will take place on August 16 in Cam Ranh. It is known that at the event, the LION Championship 56kg champion - Le Van Tuan will move up to 60kg to compete for the championship belt with martial artist Tran Ngoc Luong.
