In the first 6 months of 2025, tourism activities in Hung Yen province have developed quite well. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has closely followed the leadership and direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee, upholding the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, promoting democracy, overcoming all difficulties, focusing on leading and directing the implementation of assigned tasks; State management of tourism has made much progress; tourism planning management has received attention; infrastructure and technical facilities for tourism have been invested and upgraded; security, order, environmental sanitation and tourism civilization at tourist areas and destinations have been improved; management, preservation and promotion of heritage values associated with tourism development have been strengthened and promoted; tourism promotion and advertising activities have been diversified and rich. Attention has been paid to and direction of tasks and solutions to stimulate tourism associated with linkages and cooperation with provinces and cities in the country.

Conducting surveys of tourism businesses and proposing localities to register for recognition of provincial-level tourist areas and spots. The plans and tasks set out basically met the requirements, tourism targets met the annual plan and increased quite a bit compared to the same period.
Also in the first 6 months of the year, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hung Yen and Thai Binh actively advised and implemented plans to develop local tourism; effectively implemented State management of tourism; focused on implementing Plan No. 60-KH/TU dated May 25, 2017 of the Standing Committee of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee; implementing Resolution No. 08-NQ/TW of the Politburo on developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector; Master plan for tourism development in Hung Yen province to 2025, with a vision to 2030; Plan No. 97/KH-UBND dated July 9, 2019 of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province on implementing the Project "Restructuring the tourism industry to meet the requirements of development into a spearhead economic sector"; Project "Propaganda, promotion and promotion of tourism in Hung Yen province for the period 2021-2025"; Advise the Provincial People's Committee to recognize 1 tourist destination (Tong Tran Temple relic); advise on organizing the 2nd Hung Yen Province Culinary Festival in 2025; direct and guide local authorities, organizations and enterprises to comply with legal regulations in tourism activities....
In the first 6 months of 2025, tourism activities in the province have improved, the number of visitors and tourists to Hung Yen is increasing day by day. The results of implementing the target of visitors (international and domestic visitors) and total revenue from tourists to Hung Yen are estimated at over 1.7 million, including about 50,000 international tourists. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at over 800 billion VND; the number of tourists to Thai Binh is estimated at 400,000, of which international visitors are estimated at 1,500; revenue is estimated at 200 billion VND.
Promotion and advertising activities continue to have positive changes with many activities and programs introducing Hung Yen and Thai Binh tourism at festivals, cultural and tourism events, and tourism fairs in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP dated May 18, 2023 of the Government and Directive No. 08/CT-TTg dated February 23, 2024 of the Prime Minister.

Along with promotional activities on the ground, communication and promotion of tourism products with strengths on digital platforms are promoted and achieved high efficiency.

In addition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hung Yen has coordinated with departments and branches in the province to review and evaluate the activities of tourism projects and social enterprises operating in the tourism sector; evaluate tourism activities in rural areas associated with typical rural products; coordinate the organization of investment promotion, trade promotion, tourism promotion activities... strengthen coordination with localities and establishments in state management of tourism, management of accommodation establishments to ensure conditions for tourism accommodation business activities according to the provisions of law; coordinate with media agencies to strengthen the promotion and advertisement of the image of Hung Yen land and people....
The development of tourism products has also been focused on. In order to effectively implement the tasks assigned in the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 34/CD-TTg dated April 10, 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hung Yen and Thai Binh advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue Plan No. 57/KH-UBND dated April 15, 2025 and Plan No. 105/KH-UBND dated May 22, 2025 on implementing Official Dispatch No. 34/CD-TTg dated April 10, 2025 of the Prime Minister on promoting tourism development, ensuring double-digit economic growth. Accordingly, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hung Yen and Thai Binh have integrated the implementation of the requirements of the Official Dispatch such as: Continuing to promote the promotion of tourist destinations in 2025 and the following years; diversifying and improving the quality of tourism products and services; Increase investment attraction, create favorable conditions for tourists to access tourist destinations in the province; accelerate digital transformation, green transformation in tourism development......
In order to further promote tourism activities in the coming period, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposes to continue to promote links between localities in the region and localities with developed tourism to improve product quality, tours, and attractive tourist routes to attract tourists; build inter-provincial and inter-regional tourism routes, especially focusing on linking with provinces and cities in the Red River Delta region.
Strengthen communication, change thinking about the role and way of doing tourism. Accordingly, tourism models must put the community at the center, take the community as the foundation to build products, improve the quality of tourism services, and at the same time create spillover for local economic development. Develop "green tourism" products focusing on benefits to the natural environment such as creating tourism programs with environmental protection content, community tourism.
Prioritize investment in developing cultural, ecological, marine, agricultural, rural, and weekend tourism products to attract a large number of visitors from large cities. Increase investment in community tourism products, cultural and spiritual experiences.
Promote tourism through traditional and modern cultural products. In particular, create uniformity in logos and tourism brand images of the province on souvenir products at tourist areas and spots, encourage travel companies to use logos on shirts and hats given by travel companies to tourists; advise on using on gifts, souvenirs, OCOP products introduced to delegates of conferences and seminars held in Hung Yen.
Strengthening linkage and coordination between departments, branches and units, diversifying state resources and socialized resources to invest in upgrading tourism infrastructure and improving service quality.
Promote digital transformation of the tourism industry combined with communication, promotion, and online marketing on digital platforms to attract tourists, especially the international tourist market.
Encourage people to participate in developing community tourism; increase access to preferential credit sources with interest rates for the purpose of developing community tourism to help support and preserve, develop folk cultural values and traditional festivals and craft villages, and increase income for people.
