Manulife Vietnam cooperates with the Institute of Preventive Medicine and Public Health , Hanoi Medical University and the Vietnam Young Physicians Association to pioneer in improving medical knowledge for insurance consultants.
With the orientation of developing a team of professional 'new generation' consultants, knowledgeable about both finance and health, on July 11, Manulife Vietnam officially signed a cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Young Physicians Association and the Institute of Preventive Medicine and Public Health - Hanoi Medical University, implementing a training program on essential knowledge of community health for agents. This initiative contributes to improving the standards of insurance consultants, while demonstrating Manulife Vietnam's commitment to accompanying customers on their journey to healthy living every day.
According to the cooperation agreement, the Vietnam Young Physicians Association and the Institute of Preventive Medicine and Public Health - Hanoi Medical University will develop training content for the Manulife insurance consulting team. The program is designed to ensure professionalism and practicality, focusing on some common infectious and non-communicable diseases in the community. In addition, Manulife consultants also have the opportunity to practice skills such as: preliminary analysis and interpretation of some common tests and health examination results, consulting on health issues suitable for insurance benefits, etc.
The cooperation between Manulife Vietnam and medical training institutions contributes to bringing long-term value to insurance participants.
After the signing ceremony, the program is expected to start in August 2025, with direct teaching by a team of leading doctors and medical experts from the Vietnam Young Physicians Association and the Institute of Preventive Medicine and Public Health - Hanoi Medical University. Counselors who complete the program and pass the competency test will be certified by the school.
Through the program, Manulife Vietnam hopes to equip its consulting team with a practical medical foundation to effectively connect and accompany customers. For existing customers, understanding some common public health issues helps consultants better answer and support questions related to health benefits payments, as well as share information about risk factors, disease prevention, building a positive lifestyle for their own health and building a healthy community, helping customers conquer the journey of healthy living every day. Meanwhile, for potential customers, with the additional medical knowledge accumulated, consultants can design insurance solutions suitable for the customer's current health situation, contributing to optimizing costs to achieve financial goals.
