Vietjet 's team of engineers and technicians are ready to master a large, modern aircraft maintenance facility in Vietnam.
The Ministry of Construction has just issued Decision No. 1062/QD-BXD approving the results of investor selection in special cases for the Project to invest in construction and business of aircraft maintenance services No. 3 and No. 4 at Long Thanh International Airport.
Accordingly, the winning investor of this Project is Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company.
In the first 5 years (60 months) from the date the project is put into operation and provides aircraft maintenance services, aircraft propellers and aircraft equipment (aviation technical services), Vietjet proposes to pay the state budget at 0.05% of revenue (excluding value added tax).
From the 6th year onwards, Vietjet proposes the minimum payment to the state budget to be 2% of revenue (excluding value added tax); the increase rate of the minimum payment to the state budget is 2.5% of the minimum payment to the state budget.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam is assigned to complete the signing procedures with the winning Investor and manage the implementation of the signed contract in compliance with legal regulations; ensure the completion and put into operation the Investment Project for Construction and Business of Aircraft Maintenance Services No. 3 and No. 4 at Long Thanh International Airport in a safe, effective and synchronous manner with other projects under the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister .
This project aims to invest in the construction of aircraft maintenance facilities No. 3 and No. 4 at Long Thanh International Airport to form an aircraft maintenance complex serving domestic airlines, ensuring national interests and meeting the operational requirements of Long Thanh International Airport phase 1.
The Project investment scale is to build an aircraft maintenance facility to meet maintenance requirements at a time for at least 2 code E aircraft and 4 code C aircraft; build an operating house, install equipment systems and auxiliary items, and synchronized technical infrastructure to serve production and business.
The preliminary total investment capital for the Project to invest in construction and business of aircraft maintenance services No. 3 and No. 4 is about 1,543 billion VND.
The Project implementation location is Area E-01 at Long Thanh International Airport with an area of 8.4 hectares that has been cleared; the Land Use Rights Certificate has been granted to the Southern Airports Authority.
According to the plan of the Ministry of Construction, the Project has an investment and construction period of 2025 - 2026 (basically completed in 2025). The Project's exploitation period is from the date of completion of investment work, put into operation until December 31, 2050.
Vietjet is currently the airline with the largest fleet in Vietnam, consisting of 120 aircraft, including 7 wide-body Airbus 330s and 113 narrow-body Airbus 321s.
Being selected as the investor of the Project to invest in the construction and business of aircraft maintenance services No. 3 and No. 4 will help Vietjet not only proactively operate aircraft maintenance activities, but also participate in the development of Vietnam's aviation industry.
