According to the Deputy Minister, Vietnam is actively implementing the Green Growth Strategy for the 2021-2030 period, which identifies education as a key factor in transforming thinking and forming a skilled, creative workforce that can adapt to the green economy .

The Ministry of Education and Training has launched the program "Green Education - Green Sports" with many specific activities such as: Green Voice, Green School, promoting tree planting, energy saving, integrating environmental education into the curriculum and extracurricular activities.
In which, the “Green School” model is based on the 7R principle, which are: Rethink; Refuse; Reduce; Reuse; Recycle; Repair and Replace.
The "Green Schools" that are being replicated not only reduce the environmental burden, but also help improve learning efficiency, helping the young generation realize the sustainable value of the living environment.
For higher education and vocational education, training programs are being innovated towards developing green human resources to meet the requirements of a sustainable economy. Vietnam also focuses on promoting cooperation between the State, enterprises and training institutions to increase practicality, improve training quality and learners' adaptability to the green labor market.

At the dialogue, delegates unanimously adopted a joint statement, emphasizing the commitment to prioritizing green education as a transformational strategy for a sustainable future. The statement emphasizes the integration of environmental education and sustainable development into all levels of education, promoting regional and international cooperation, and prioritizing support for vulnerable student groups.
The statement also mentioned strengthening teacher training, improving communication capacity, and building mechanisms to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of green education initiatives.
Within the framework of the Conference, the delegation of the Ministry of Education and Training attended thematic sessions, shared the outstanding results of Vietnamese students in international competency assessment programs such as SEA-PLM and PISA, and emphasized the orientation of developing the "happy school" model to care for students' mental health, especially in the post-Covid-19 pandemic context.
