On the first day, because they had to take an early morning flight to Thailand, Coach Hoang Anh Tuan let the players practice gym and swim in the hotel grounds. Last night (June 15), after a morning rest and team meeting, at 8 p.m., U.17 Vietnam had a practice session at the secondary field near Thammasat Stadium, where the group stage matches will take place.

The Vietnam U.17 team had its first training session at 8:00 p.m.

The beautiful pitch, along with the high concentration of the players, made the training session of U.17 Vietnam very effective. Coach Hoang Anh Tuan had the players practice defensive drills, controlling the ball near the goal to stretch the opponent's formation and attack situations. The coach from Khanh Hoa was also ready to stop the training session to correct his players when necessary.

Discussing the team's preparation and accommodation in Thailand, Head of the Vietnam U.17 team participating in the 2023 AFC U.17 Championship - Mr. Tran Van Quynh said: "I feel the spirit and psychological state of the players are extremely comfortable. I think everyone is ready to enter the tournament.

As for accommodation, right from the moment we arrived in Thailand, the coaching staff and doctors checked the facilities and food. Rama Gardens Bangkok has 8 teams staying and the facilities are quite good. The first meal, because we arrived late, there was little food, we also made recommendations to the organizing committee. In the afternoon, the meal was greatly improved, with enough nutrition. As the head of the delegation, I also provided support to help the players have more energy and be in the most comfortable spirit before entering the first match."

At this year's finals, the teams will compete in a single round robin. The first and second teams in each group will advance to the quarterfinals. The quarterfinals will take place on June 25 and 26. The semi-finals will take place on June 29, and the final will take place at 7 p.m. on July 2. The four semi-finalists will qualify for the 2023 U.17 World Cup in October.
