This is an important milestone, ensuring that the trains have fully met quality, safety and environmental standards, are qualified to operate on the railway... and are ready to be put into commercial operation in late June and early July.

The certificate of quality, technical safety and environmental protection is a certificate confirming that the vehicle, assembly, equipment and components have been inspected according to current regulations. The certification process is strictly implemented by competent authorities, based on the Railway Law and Circular No. 29/2018/TT - BGTVT dated May 14, 2018 regulating the inspection of quality, technical safety and environmental protection of railway vehicles.

Currently, 10 trains of the pilot urban railway line of Hanoi city, Nhon - Hanoi station section have been affixed with inspection stamps, which are symbols issued to railway vehicles that have been inspected and meet relevant technical standards and regulations. Depending on the type of railway vehicle, the location of the inspection stamp will be different. For locomotives and specialized vehicles, the stamp is affixed on the inside, upper corner, and rightmost side of the glass (seen from the driver's position) or in an easily observable location. For passenger cars and urban railway cars, the stamp is affixed inside the car at the first end in an easily observable location.

The pilot urban railway project of Hanoi city, Nhon - Hanoi station section is one of the important transport projects of the city, with the goal of reducing traffic congestion, improving the public transport system and contributing to environmental protection. The granting of Certificates to the trains is a testament to the quality of the vehicles as well as the efforts of the parties involved in putting the project into official operation, ensuring maximum safety for users.

The No. 3 urban railway project, Nhon - Hanoi station section, uses 10 trains specially designed by Alstom (France). With the theme "Green Journey", the trains come in three colors: green, pink, red and white; the front of the train with the symbol of Khue Van Cac creates a unique mark of the capital.

The trains operate continuously on standard gauge railways (1435 mm), the train body uses lightweight, long-lasting, environmentally friendly aluminum alloy materials. The train is designed according to the latest European standards with a luxurious, modern style, fully equipped and researched to suit the needs of Vietnamese people.

The train is one of Alstom's modern products, fully equipped with amenities such as: air conditioning, ventilation, passenger radio system, camera system, independent fire and smoke detection system, LED lights that automatically adjust the light when entering underground sections... The interior of the train with bright colors and white LED lighting system will always create an airy feeling, bringing comfort and ease to passengers while on the train.

In particular, the train uses the CBTC (Communication-Based Train Control) signal solution called URBALIS, an advanced solution of Alstom with advantages such as: flexible control system structure; optimizing safety and ensuring uninterrupted service provision for passengers. The configuration of each train includes 4 cars (2 engine cars with cabin, 1 engine car and 1 trailer car), with 3 cars/4 cars using 3-phase AC motors, air spring bogies installed to increase reliability during operation. The train has the capacity to carry 944 - 1124 people/train, with a density of about 6.6 - 8 people/m2 and operates at a commercial speed of 35 km/h, a design speed of 80 km/h.

The train uses a 750VDC third-rail low-voltage traction power with a compact, simple, sturdy structure, low construction and maintenance costs, ensuring urban aesthetics. The braking system is equipped with a regenerative braking feature to reduce energy consumption and help reduce maintenance costs. The train has a low floor, making it very convenient for passengers to get on and off, especially those with luggage or who have to move in wheelchairs. In addition, the train also has priority areas reserved for the disabled, seats for the elderly, women and children.

The elevated section of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station line consists of 8 stations, more than 8 km long from Nhon Station (Bac Tu Liem District) to Cau Giay Station. After 14 years of construction, the putting into operation of this urban railway line is an event that the people of the capital are looking forward to.
