Mr. Ngo Hoang Son in Vinh Long (address before the merger was An Thanh A hamlet, Binh Ninh commune, Tam Binh district, Vinh Long province) said that through Dan Tri newspaper, he knew that Ho Chi Minh City National University is preparing to organize a supplementary capacity assessment exam for candidates who had problems in exam rooms 39 and 42, exam location number 17, Exam cluster number 9 (Exam Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology HUTECH) on July 13.

In the case of Mr. Son's son - Ngo Nguyen Minh Khoi, a student at Tra On High School - is not a candidate in the two examination rooms above.
However, his child had an unfortunate incident in the second round of the competency assessment exam, so Mr. Son hopes that his child can retake the exam this additional round.
According to the family, on May 20, Tra On High School reminded students to re-issue their citizen identification cards (CCCD) due to the lack of national population data synchronization. Khoi re-issued his ID card due to a change in address, while all other information remained the same.
I did not have time to get a reissued CCCD before the second round of the capacity assessment exam, so before the exam, my family carefully prepared documents to prove my identity, including a student card from the school I was attending, an appointment to return the CCCD, a photo of the old CCCD before changing it, and a certificate of identity confirmed by the commune police and with the photo stamped on it.
Mr. Son and his son left home for Ho Chi Minh City, rented a room for his son to take the second round of the competency assessment exam which took place on June 1st, also at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology exam site.
Before the exam, after checking my documents, at first, the invigilator in the exam room accepted me. However, later, the Examination Council at this exam location did not agree to let me take the exam, requiring the original ID card according to the regulations.
According to the exam regulations, the child was not allowed to take the exam, so the father and son checked out of the motel and packed up to leave.
Mr. Ngo Hoang Son shared that he himself understood that the Examination Council followed the correct examination regulations, and his child had to re-issue his ID card at that time.
He still hopes that if possible, his child will have a chance to retake the exam in this additional round so that he can fulfill his dream.
The father added that in the first round of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam this year, Khoi scored 734 points. However, before this round of exams, he was focusing on reviewing for the provincial excellent student exam, so he did not have much time to review for the exam.
In the excellent student exam, Ngo Nguyen Minh Khoi won second prize in the provincial excellent student exam in physics.
I studied hard for the second round of exams with the hope of improving my score so that I could apply for admission to the University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University). However, due to the problem with my ID card, I did not have the opportunity to improve my score for this exam.
"With my child's incident, I really hope that my child will be given the opportunity to take the additional exam to assess the capacity of Ho Chi Minh City National University so that he can fulfill his plan," Mr. Ngo Hoang Son expressed his wish.
The exam board followed the rules.
In the initial response to the case of candidate Ngo Nguyen Minh Khoi, the representative of the Examination Council of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's Competency Assessment Exam shared that the Examination Council at the candidate's test site had followed the exam regulations correctly.
According to the regulations of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam, when taking the exam, candidates need to bring all the required documents as stated in the exam notice, and present the identification documents that the candidate used to register for the exam.
Specifically, it includes one of the following types of documents: ID card, citizen identification card, passport (original, valid, with personal information matching the information registered for the exam).
Candidates who do not bring the required identification documents as mentioned above will not be allowed to take the exam.

As for the supplementary exam taking place on July 13, Ho Chi Minh City National University will organize it for those who encountered unexpected incidents in exam rooms 39 and 42, at exam site 17, exam cluster 9 in the second exam session this year.
As Dan Tri reported, candidates in the two examination rooms above had to lose 30 minutes of their test time because the invigilator mistakenly heard the alarm and was not given scratch paper, causing difficulties in taking the test during the second round of the competency assessment exam.
The Ho Chi Minh City National University's aptitude test is the largest university entrance exam in the country in terms of both the number of candidates taking the test and the number of candidates using the results for admission.
This year, the exam attracted nearly 160,000 candidates to register for the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam. Currently, up to 110educational institutions nationwide use the exam results for admission consideration.
