Hai Phong City prepares conditions to organize ABAC III meeting

Hai Phong City has prepared conditions to organize the 3rd Meeting of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC III) and the City Investment Promotion Conference at the meeting.

On the morning of July 14, Comrade Le Anh Quan, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee inspected the preparations for the 3rd Meeting of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC III) and reviewed the content of the Hai Phong City Investment Promotion Conference at the meeting.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee inspected the Pullman Hotel, some routes that delegates traveled to attend the meeting; and had a rehearsal at the City Convention and Performance Center.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee inspected the preparation of facilities at the venues of the ABAC III meeting.

At the inspection, Permanent Vice Chairman of the city Le Anh Quan acknowledged the efforts of departments, branches and units in the preparation work, basically meeting the requirements and progress.

He requested relevant departments, branches, units and divisions to continue to coordinate closely and synchronously, speed up the completion of tasks to successfully organize the Hai Phong City Investment Conference at the 3rd Session of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC 3). At the same time, carefully prepare to organize sideline activities of the conference to promote the investment environment, economic potential and investment and business incentive policies of Hai Phong City to APEC economies; introduce the city's tourism and cultural potential to the leading business community in the region and the world.

Reviewing the content of the Hai Phong City Investment Promotion Conference, the Standing Vice Chairman of the city noted and proposed to adjust and supplement some specific tasks, ensuring the organization of the conference is solemn, professional and effective.

The ABAC III meeting will take place from July 15 to 18 at the Pullman Hai Phong Hotel with about 250 international and Vietnamese delegates, including ABAC members who are leaders of corporations, leading enterprises, trade and investment promotion organizations from 21 APEC economies and international guests.

Standing Vice Chairman of the city Le Anh Quan requested relevant departments, branches, units and divisions to continue to coordinate closely and synchronously, speed up the completion of work to successfully organize the Hai Phong City Investment Conference.

The ABAC III meeting is part of a series of events leading up to Vietnam's assumption of the role of APEC Chair 2027 and ABAC 2027.

On the sidelines of the meeting, many activities to connect businesses and promote investment will be held. In particular, the Hai Phong City Investment Promotion Conference will take place on July 15 at the City Convention and Performance Center.
