Khoai Chau commune mobilizes people to dismantle illegal constructions on agricultural land.

Immediately after discovering that Mr. Tuong Duy Tien's household, residing in Cam Khe village, Lien Khe commune (formerly), now Khoai Chau commune, had illegally built a structure on agricultural land, the commune authorities drew up a record of the violation on July 4. After being informed, by the morning of July 12, Mr. Tien's household voluntarily dismantled the entire illegal structure with a total area of over 60 square meters. The structure has a solid structure, brick walls, and a cement roof, and was built in early June on the old illegal foundation from 2011.

Officially operating under the new model since July 1, Khoai Chau commune has strengthened inspection and review of land violations. Thereby, 7 cases of illegal construction on agricultural land have been discovered. Most of the violating constructions were built on old foundations that existed many years ago.

To date, 6 households have voluntarily dismantled illegal constructions. In the remaining cases, the commune is continuing to propagate and mobilize people to comply.
