WARNING OF FLASH FLOODS, LANDSCAPES, SUBSTITUTION CAUSED BY RAIN AND FLOODS OR STREAMS IN THE NORTH CENTRAL REGION

According to the North Central Region Hydro-meteorological Station, from 10pm on November 6 to 4am on November 7, the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh experienced moderate to heavy rain, with some places experiencing very heavy rain. It is forecasted that in the next few hours, the North Central region will continue to experience rain, with some places experiencing moderate to heavy rain. Rainfall is generally between 10mm and 30mm, with some places experiencing over 40mm.

Rainfall measured at automatic rain gauges: Yen Nhan 140.8 mm, Yen Khuong 87.8 mm, Yen Thang 73 mm, Son Lu 69.4 mm, Tam Lu 66 mm (Thanh Hoa); My Son 1 70.2 mm, Quynh Luu 50.4 mm ( Nghe An ); Do Diem 65.8 mm (Ha Tinh).

Along with that is a high risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in residential areas, and flooding in low-lying areas in the following districts:

- Thanh Hoa : Thuong Xuan, Lang Chanh, Quan Son, Muong Lat

- Nghe An: Do Luong.

In addition, it is necessary to guard against flooding in low-lying areas, urban areas and traffic routes in the districts of Quang Xuong and Tinh Gia (Thanh Hoa); Quynh Luu and Hoang Mai (Nghe An) and Ky Anh (Ha Tinh).

Flash floods and landslides can have a very negative impact on the environment, threaten people's lives; cause local traffic congestion, affect the movement of vehicles; destroy civil and economic works, causing damage to production and socio-economic activities. People should limit traffic through underground tunnels, spillways, civil bridges, sloping land, and positive slopes in the localities warned above.

* Cua Lo and Ngu Island area

Cloudy, rain, sometimes moderate rain and thunderstorms. Northeast wind level 2 - level 3.

- Temperature: 23 – 27 o C

- Humidity: 80 – 85%

* Next 48 hours: Under the influence of the continental high pressure tongue strengthening, then stabilizing and weakening, Nghe An province will have cloudy weather with scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms. Northeast wind level 2 - level 3. The weather will turn cold at night and early morning.

During thunderstorms, beware of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.
