According to the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, by 7:00 p.m. on September 1, more than 97.2% of Thai Nguyen province's population had been given National Day gifts on September 2 with the amount of VND 100,000/person by bank transfer or cash, of which 28 out of 92 communes and wards had 100% of people receiving gifts.
By the afternoon of September 2, most people in the province had received gifts, the rest were special cases, such as those without bank accounts, living too far away, or having inconvenient transportation. Thai Nguyen provincial leaders directed that commune authorities and banks must complete the delivery of National Day gifts to people on September 2.
To achieve this result, Thai Nguyen province urgently implemented the Party and State's policy on giving gifts on National Day September 2 to people, promptly issued a decision to allocate budget, review, synthesize, and allocate funds to localities, banks transferred money immediately to families when enough information was available; communes and wards mobilized cadres, civil servants, and public employees to work all day on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays to give gifts to people with a total amount of more than 174.5 billion VND.
