Striker Diogo Jota passed away at the age of 28 in a traffic accident today (July 3). According to Marca , the Liverpool striker had an accident at km 65 of the A-52 road, near the Zamora area of ​​Sanabria (Spain).

The car carrying Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Jota (a 26-year-old player from Penafiel) lost control and caught fire. The Liverpool striker was confirmed dead in the traffic accident.

Diogo Jota joined Liverpool in 2020 from Wolverhampton Wanderers for €44.7 million. After 5 seasons, Diego Jota has made 182 appearances for the Merseyside team, with 65 goals and 26 assists.
