According to El Mundo newspaper (Spain), Diogo Jota passed away in a traffic accident with his younger brother at km 65 on the A-52 road in Zamora (Spain).

El Mundo also posted a video that is believed to be the scene of the accident, where Diogo Jota and his brother André were inside the Lamborghini that lost control and caught fire, and the two brothers were unable to escape. The accident was determined to have occurred at 0:30 a.m. on July 3. Many pieces of the car were scattered along the road, and the body of the car was burned. In the video, rescue workers and authorities are examining the scene.
