(Dan Tri) - The 2025 high school graduation exam recorded a special situation when there was an exam subject for which the entire province had only 1 candidate.

The case of candidates taking a single exam on a province-wide scale occurs with elective subjects included in the high school graduation exam for the first time, including: industrial technology, agricultural technology and information technology.

Specifically, with 2 technology subjects, the whole old Vinh Phuc province has 2 students registered. 1 student chose industrial orientation, 1 student chose agricultural orientation.

Similarly, the entire Quang Ninh province had only 1 candidate taking the industrial technology exam and achieved a high score of 8.25. Therefore, with only 1 candidate, Quang Ninh ranked first among 34 provinces and cities in this exam.

Another candidate in Tay Ninh also fell into the situation of "I'm the only one in the whole province" in the industrial technology exam.

In the IT subject, Lai Chau province only had 1 candidate register. This candidate's score of 7.5 put Lai Chau in the top 10 provinces and cities with the highest IT exam scores in the country.

This year, the high school graduation exam is held with subjects for both students studying the 2018 general education program and students studying under the new exam plan.

At the same time, the Ministry of Education and Training continues to organize exams for students studying under the 2006 general education program who have not graduated or need to retake the exam for university admission.

From July 10 to 20, the Departments of Education and Training will provide additional accounts for candidates (high school and college graduates) who do not have an account to register for admission on the system to carry out online registration.

Other candidates register their admission wishes on the system from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28 (unlimited number of wishes).

On July 21, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce the threshold to ensure input quality for teaching and health sectors with a practice license.

From 5:00 p.m. on July 23, training institutions will announce the scores for receiving application documents and equivalent converted admission scores on the system and on the training institutions' websites. From July 29 to 5:00 p.m. on August 5, candidates will pay the admission fee online on the system.

Training institutions will notify candidates who have passed the first round of admission from 5:00 p.m. on August 22. Candidates will confirm their admission online for the first round on the system from 5:00 p.m. on August 30. Training institutions (with remaining quotas) will notify additional admissions from September 1.
