Schools that have been at the bottom of the low entrance score table for many consecutive years include: Bac Luong Son High School, Bat Bat High School, Luu Hoang High School, Minh Quang High School...
Last year, Hanoi had 194 schools with a high school graduation rate of 100%. In 2023, it will be 140 schools.
According to Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, this result is the resonance of many factors, the dedicated efforts of teachers and schools in teaching and learning. It is the effort and determination of students, and the companionship of parents in their children's learning on a long journey.

In particular, in recent years, Hanoi has implemented many solutions to improve the quality of teaching in schools, including the movement "Schools join hands to develop - teachers share responsibility", sending excellent teachers from top schools to suburban schools and difficult areas to share teaching methods.
The Department of Education and Training organizes many seminars and training courses to improve the qualifications of teachers in schools.
In particular, Hanoi has just had a reward mechanism for students with high scores, to encourage the spirit of students and teachers, and promote the learning movement.
In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Hanoi city ranked first in the country with 1,583 scores of 10. This number increased compared to 2024.
If last year, Hanoi had 915 scores of 10 in all subjects, this year the whole city has 1,583 scores of 10 in the high school graduation exam.

Specifically, math has 93 points of 10; physics 556; chemistry 83; biology 7; history 98; geography 435, English 56; other foreign languages 172; economic and legal education 9; information technology 9; agricultural technology 2.
This year, Hanoi also appeared in most of the rankings of the top 10 highest scores in each subject and the top 10 provinces with the most 10 scores.
Along with Ninh Binh province, Hanoi has one of the two valedictorians of the 2025 high school graduation exam, Nguyen Viet Hung, a 12th grade English major student at Chu Van An High School for the Gifted.
Viet Hung was also the double valedictorian in 4 other admission subject groups: A01 (math, physics, English), D01 (math, literature, English), C01 (math, literature, physics) and D11 (literature, physics, English).
Hanoi's "jump" 17 places from 22nd to 5th place is an event for the capital's education sector because it has been absent from the top 10 provinces and cities with the highest average high school graduation exam scores in the country for many years.
The graduation rate of Hanoi in 2025 is 99.75 (only candidates taking the new general education program). If including candidates taking the old program, Hanoi's graduation rate in 2025 is 99.73.
