After listening to the Summary Report on the results of the implementation of tasks in the first 6 months of the year, the key tasks in the last 6 months of 2025 and the opinions of units and localities, in his concluding remarks at the Conference, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that the Conference to review the work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks in the last 6 months of 2025 took place in a very meaningful context when our country had just carried out a revolution in the arrangement and organization of the apparatus, the whole sector carried out tasks in the condition that the new apparatus had just begun to operate.
Looking back at the first 6 months of the year of the culture, sports and tourism sector, the Minister highly appreciated the results stated in the Report on the implementation of tasks in the first 6 months of the year and the key tasks in the last 6 months of the year. The report, together with the speeches at the Conference, fully and in detail stated the activities of the Ministry and the entire sector, thereby showing the overall picture of the culture, sports and tourism sector in the first 6 months of 2025 and throughout the past years.
Through the practical activities of the industry, it has helped the Party committees, authorities and people to have a deeper and more specific awareness of culture in the spirit of "culture is the foundation, sports is the strength, information is the conduit, tourism is the connecting bridge".
Thanks to the change in thinking, shifting from "doing culture to state management of culture", creating policies through management tools, in the spirit of "cultural cause belongs to all people, under the leadership of the Party", the Minister said, the whole industry has made efforts, silently, quietly, working in the spirit of creation, perseverance, determination, doing from small to large tasks, from simple to complex, removing each bottleneck, knot so that culture is placed in the right position and increasingly affirms its position.

Affirming the attention and promotion of the position and role of culture in the country's development by General Secretary To Lam and the Party and State leaders, the Minister said that those working in culture and practicing culture must deeply understand the viewpoints of the Party and State leaders to do a good job of advising and organizing implementation.
Besides, when determining the role of state management, we focus on reviewing all institutions and policies of the cultural sector to detect legal gaps, thereby creating and removing them.
"We have submitted to competent authorities to issue new Laws, submitted to the Government to issue Decrees and, within our authority, issued Circulars, as well as urged and inspected implementation. This has created development," said the Minister.
In addition, the Minister emphasized that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has also known how to choose work and locations to advise on and has been entrusted by the Party and State to organize many national and regional events to affirm and promote the image of Vietnam to the world, strengthen trust, and convey new messages and policies of the Party and State.
Recalling the three major events that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism participated in organizing in 2025, namely the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam; the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, the Minister said that the activities contributed to spreading the message of solidarity, patriotism, trust and expectation in the country's development.
"That result was achieved thanks to the leadership of the Party, the administration and the efforts, diligence, perseverance and patience of the cultural team," the Minister said.
Within the framework of the Conference, Minister Nguyen Van Hung presented the emulation flag of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2024 to 11 collectives with outstanding achievements in 2024.
Another bright spot, according to the Minister, is the growth of the tourism industry. When global supply chains were disrupted, we promptly advised the Government to issue many directives, with new perceptions of "on-site export". By organizing tours to welcome international visitors to Vietnam, tourists not only discover the beauty of the country and people of Vietnam but also satisfy their passion for shopping, which is "on-site export".
"We do small things with great love, which has helped the number of tourists grow by over 20%, domestic tourists maintain the pace and contribute to the country's growth in the first 6 months of the year. The tourism industry needs to continue to develop further on the basis of the awareness that tourism products must originate from culture and bear a strong cultural imprint," the Minister emphasized.
Reiterating the request to "redraw the map of Vietnam tourism" that was raised at the recent preliminary conference of the tourism industry, the Minister once again suggested that the tourism industry must "join forces, choose points, and accelerate" to further develop the tourism industry.

Regarding the tasks and solutions in the coming time, expressing agreement with the tasks and solutions stated in the Work Report for the first 6 months of the year and the key tasks for the last 6 months of 2025, the Minister emphasized the message "The Ministry guides, the Department accompanies, for a common mission" and noted the following issues:
Firstly, we must focus on policy communication, raising awareness, and creating consensus among the people. Communication must have a focus, a key point, and a direction. If we have done well, we must do even better.
Second, well organize activities on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. The Minister emphasized that this is an opportunity for the industry to organize cultural, artistic and sports activities, promote and spread the good values of the nation, meet the enjoyment needs of the people, thereby stimulating tourism, attracting tourists, not just a single cultural activity.

The Minister especially noted that units and localities must prepare well for the National Achievement Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), with the theme: "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness". This is an unprecedented event, so units and localities need to focus and mobilize combined strength to organize the event well.
Third , focus on economic development, working with localities to achieve the GDP growth target of over 8%. In particular, the cultural sector must closely follow the task of tourism development. The Minister requested that the Directors of the Departments in charge of tourism in localities must "sit down" and connect to discuss solutions, with the Vietnam National Tourism Administration playing the role of coordinating and connecting agency for development.
In addition, it is necessary to focus on promoting and promoting tourism to prepare for the peak season of international visitors in October. Promotion work must be comprehensively innovated, with the participation of localities and businesses with new and creative ways. The tourism industry must strive to achieve the goal of welcoming international visitors by 2025.
Fourth , do a good job in training, research, and application of science and technology. In addition, we must promote the role of leaders and promote collective strength.
