On the afternoon of July 16, the Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA) in collaboration with the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea held the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Office located in Seoul, Korea.

This event marks an important strategic step, demonstrating the strong determination of the Vietnam Tourism Association in promoting and advertising tourism, creating higher growth for the Korean market - one of the leading international tourist markets of Vietnam today.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vu The Binh, Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, affirmed that Korea is the leading market for Vietnamese tourism. The establishment of the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Office in Korea has special significance in attracting tourists to Vietnam and supporting the activities of sending Vietnamese tourists abroad.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea Vu Ho highly appreciated the efforts of the Vietnam Tourism Association in establishing the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Office in Korea. He believed that the Office would promote tourism connections between the two countries, support tourism businesses of the two countries to increase customer exchanges, explore business cooperation opportunities; and contribute to further deepening the connection between the two peoples.

On the same afternoon, the Vietnam Tourism Association held a B2B meeting between representatives of Vietnamese localities and businesses with 65 travel agencies and 13 Korean media units.

The Association also organizes Roadshow programs, creating conditions for Vietnamese businesses and promotion agencies to introduce detailed information and images of Vietnam's unique tourism destinations and products.

At the event, a cooperation signing ceremony took place between a number of Vietnamese tourism businesses and Korean tourism businesses. Along with that was a commitment to coordinate activities between the Vietnam Local Tourism Association and the Korean Tourism Associations and tourism businesses.

Vietnam is one of the favorite destinations for Korean tourists in Southeast Asia thanks to its diverse natural landscapes, unique culture and convenient travel distance. Many places in Vietnam have become familiar destinations for Korean tourists, chosen by many famous Korean stars to visit or film TV shows.

With that advantage, the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Office in Korea will strive to promote and support appropriate promotional activities in Korea for Vietnamese tourism businesses, contributing to further enhancing the growth of Korean tourists, as well as creating more favorable conditions for Vietnamese people to travel to Korea.
