Nguyen Tran Yen Nhi, a student of class 12D1, Cua Lo High School (Cua Lo ward, Nghe An ), became a name mentioned a lot in the student community after she was officially confirmed as the national valedictorian of block C00 in the 2025 high school graduation exam.
The information was confirmed by Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoan, Chief of Office of Nghe An Departmentof Education and Training, to Dan Tri reporter on the morning of July 16.

“Yen Nhi achieved a total score of 29.75, including 10 points in history, 10 points in geography and 9.75 in literature. This is the highest score in the country for block C00 in this year's exam,” said Mr. Hoan.
Yen Nhi's outstanding achievements not only bring glory to Cua Lo High School but also contribute to highlighting the overall results of Nghe An - the province that has just led the country in average score of literature (8.035 points) and is in the top of many other important subjects. The whole province has 1,035 candidates achieving a score of 10, of which 543 candidates scored 10 points in geography alone.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter , Yen Nhi said: “After the exam, I felt that my literature test was not as good as expected. When I heard the news, I was very happy. Thank you, mom, thank you, teachers, friends and myself for not giving up.”

Yen Nhi also shared that the most important thing for her in studying is to keep a stable spirit, study all subjects equally, not create too much pressure and always have a clear plan.
“I studied history and geography from the basics, mastering the basic knowledge, not just practicing the questions. As for literature, thanks to the teachers who nurtured excellent students, I was able to practice my thinking and writing skills more closely,” the female student said.
Not only is Yen Nhi a good student, she is also a very determined student. Her father passed away when she was only 4 years old, her mother, a secondary school teacher, had to raise two children by herself. The small family lives simply and warmly in Cua Lo ward, where Yen Nhi wrote her story of overcoming difficulties. Yen Nhi's younger brother is currently in 10th grade.
“I chose to take the entrance exam to Hanoi Pedagogical University. I dream of becoming a literature teacher, just like my mother once inspired me to be. I want to stand on the podium and teach the subject I love the most,” the student from the coastal region shared.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ut Suong, homeroom teacher of class 12D1, emotionally said: “Yen Nhi is a well-rounded, brave and determined student. She is very polite, sociable with friends, has good thinking and learning ability. She won second prize in the provincial literature competition, so today's result is completely deserved.”
Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Principal of Cua Lo High School, added: “Yen Nhi’s results are a great source of pride for the school. She is not only a good student but also an example of overcoming difficulties. This achievement is a strong source of inspiration for students in the whole town as well as the province.”
From a small coastal land, a gentle student has written a beautiful story: studying well, living with dreams and constantly striving to make those dreams come true. Cua Lo is once again mentioned not only for its blue beaches, but also for a national valedictorian named Nguyen Tran Yen Nhi.
