Vibrant ecological complex in the heart of Ha Tinh city center

(Baohatinh.vn) - Formed less than a year ago, the bird garden in the Dong River area (Thanh Sen ward, Ha Tinh) has become a shelter for flocks of wild birds, opening up expectations for a vibrant ecological community in the future.

In early 2024, the Party Committee and government of the old Ha Tinh City began to come up with ideas and implement steps to build an artificial bird garden to preserve wild birds and develop eco- tourism and experiential tourism.

After many reviews and surveys in suburban communes and wards with suitable natural conditions, the city decided to choose the Dong River area (formerly Thach Linh ward, now Thanh Sen ward) to implement the project. This area is dozens of hectares wide, has quite favorable natural conditions, and is wild with a system of rivers and swamps.

After selecting the location, the leaders of Ha Tinh City at that time invited Mr. Le Danh Cuong ( Ca Mau province) - a person with a lot of experience in building bird gardens and an expert in attracting wild birds to advise and support the construction process. This demonstrates the great determination of the locality in exploiting and developing the potential of eco-tourism and protecting the landscape and environment.

From mid-2024, with the support of expert Le Danh Cuong, the determination of the old city Party Committee and government, and the cooperation and contribution of many individuals, organizations and people from all walks of life, the bird garden was officially implemented.

Tens of thousands of trees were planted, and bird islands were built to provide shelter for wild birds. Despite the harsh weather, with careful cultivation and care, the tree system grew and developed well. The shape of a bird sanctuary was gradually formed in the Dong River area.

After many efforts, up to now, there are hundreds of birds living in the bird garden.

Mainly storks, herons, egrets, teals, ducks and mallards...

There are also some bird species such as lion pigeons and water pheasants that are raised to create biodiversity.

Birds all reside stably in the bird garden and forage in areas along the East River with a rich vegetation system.

The birds are free to forage and live in a safe environment.

The artificial bird garden has become a home for wild birds.

The landscape and trees at the bird garden are regularly cared for and maintained.

According to forecasts, in the coming time, when the green tree system becomes more and more lush, the number of wild birds coming to live and roost will become more and more crowded, creating a vibrant ecological community.

It can be said that although the bird garden has not been built for long, it has initially created changes in the ecosystem of the Dong River. This is a premise to build a diverse conservation ecosystem, an ideal tourist experience destination for visitors when coming to Thanh Sen in the near future.
