Ms. Truong Thi Ninh - Store Manager of Bookstore 58 Phan Dinh Phung ( Ha Tinh Books and School Equipment Joint Stock Company) said: "To proactively provide early books for students, right from the beginning of summer vacation, we received books at the store and distributed them to small retailers across the province. At this time, on average, we welcome about 600 customers coming to buy books every day."
According to the 2018 General Education Program, Ha Tinh mainly studies two sets of books: Canh Dieu and Connecting knowledge with life. Based on the number of students in schools, the Provincial School Equipment and Books Joint Stock Company has proactively connected with publishers to ensure sufficient book sources. However, local book shortages still occur every year, especially in the first days of the school year. Therefore, this year, most parents and students have bought books early.
Nguyen Quang Huy - a grade 11A2 student at Mai Thuc Loan High School (Mai Phu Commune) shared: "I have been familiar with the book series Connecting knowledge with life since grade 10, so this year, instead of registering at school, I proactively bought textbooks myself to both preview the lessons and prevent local book shortages."
With the desire to create conditions for her children to access new lessons early to proactively enter the school year, Ms. Le Thi Thu Trang (Ha Huy Tap ward) said: "Local shortages of books in the time close to the school opening day have always occurred for many years, so I have prepared textbooks for my children early. Having enough books and school supplies in advance helps children feel more excited about the new school year, and parents are also less pressured."
As the main unit in supplying textbooks in Ha Tinh province, to ensure the source of books for students before the new school year, right from the last days of the 2024-2025 school year, Ha Tinh Books and School Equipment Joint Stock Company has proactively prepared warehouses and capital of more than 20 billion VND. In addition, this year the publisher has also created conditions for longer debt, so the source of funding to ensure the supply of books to the market has many advantages.
“Up to now, more than 1.3 million copies of textbooks have arrived in Ha Tinh, of which 80% have been distributed to the market through small and retail agents in 69 communes and wards and retail points at store number 58 Phan Dinh Phung. This year, the price reduction is listed right on the cover with about 8% for textbooks and 10% for reference books. This is a very humane and practical policy, contributing to reducing the financial burden for many families,” informed Ms. Tran Thi Thu Ha - Director of Ha Tinh Books and School Equipment Joint Stock Company.
Taking the initiative in the textbook market in Ha Tinh not only helps parents and students prepare for the new school year but also helps stabilize prices, avoiding shortages and local price increases at peak times. Currently, in addition to continuing to supply books to meet students' needs, Ha Tinh Books and Equipment Joint Stock Company is also implementing solutions to connect with other provinces to share and support in transferring when necessary, ensuring that 100% of students have enough books in the new school year.
