Mr. Nguyen Anh Thang - Deputy General Director of Mitraco Ha Tinh said: "The livestock and animal feed production industry recorded a good growth rate when member units performed well in disease prevention and control in livestock herds, the price of commercial pigs remained high; the seaport sector also increased the output of goods passing through the port due to the operation of Vung Ang port 3, opening up a new development direction for the logistics service sector.
However, the company also faces many difficulties, especially in the field of mineral exploitation due to the impact of high tax and fee policies from Laos, the deterioration of Vietnam - Laos traffic infrastructure greatly affects transportation... The Corporation has made efforts to take advantage of the advantages, proactively implementing solutions to overcome difficulties, so the results of production and business activities have been quite good, with revenue in the first 6 months of the year reaching over 900 billion VND, after-tax profit of 63 billion VND, budget contribution of over 14 billion VND, creating regular jobs for more than 1,000 workers with an average salary of 10.2 million VND/person/month".
Mitraco Ha Tinh's goal for the last 6 months of the year is to achieve a revenue of 1,000 billion VND. The Corporation will continue to direct its subsidiaries to seriously implement the solutions that have been developed, developing the livestock industry on the basis of key investment in sow, increasing high-quality breeding animals for the market and gradually reducing the number of pigs for meat. At the same time, it will strengthen the removal of difficulties for gypsum mining activities in Laos, focus resources on opening new gypsum mines in Tung village (Kham Muon province, Laos), and continue to explore and exploit titanium mines in the province. In the field of seaport logistics, Mitraco Ha Tinh focuses on completing the investment project to build the Mitraco Vung Ang logistics center with a total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND; strive to coordinate with partners to bring the container transport route to Vung Ang port in August 2025, both improving production and business efficiency and contributing to promoting the development of Ha Tinh logistics services.
In the first 6 months of 2025, Ha Tinh textile and garment enterprises "won big" when the export proportion continuously increased. The export turnover of various textile fibers and yarns reached about 6.79 million USD, an increase of 112.85% over the same period in 2024; the export turnover of textile and garment products reached about 27.26 million USD, an increase of 119.85% over the same period.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Luan - import-export officer, Haivina Hong Linh Company Limited (Nam Hong Industrial Park): Free trade agreements with the EU, the US and countries in the CPTPP have expanded export opportunities for Vietnam, helping the textile and garment industry grow by reducing tariffs, expanding export markets and facilitating the exchange of goods, increasing competitiveness, and increasing export turnover. The company's main products are sports gloves and labor protection gloves with an output of about 500,000 products/month. The company's products are present in key markets such as the US, UK, Spain, France, Singapore, etc. The exciting thing is that Haivina has signed orders until December 2025 and is striving to complete the target of more than 6 million products this year.
Over the past 6 months, Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant (Ha Tinh Oil and Gas Power Company) has maintained the stable and safe operation of 2 generators, making an important contribution to the growth index of Ha Tinh's industry. The plant's commercial electricity output reached 3,689 billion kWh, with revenue of about 6,826 billion VND.
According to Mr. Tran Huu Duong - Deputy Head of Planning and Materials Department (Ha Tinh Oil and Gas Power Company), the company continues to coordinate to ensure readiness to mobilize maximum capacity; proactively plan stable coal supply to ensure safe and continuous operation of generators. At the same time, take full advantage of favorable conditions in terms of load demand, weather, climate, implement flexible bidding to increase profits and output, strive to soon complete the third quarter target of producing 1,247 billion kWh, revenue of about 2,280 billion VND.
A good sign is that in the first 6 months of the year, the construction and installation enterprises in Ha Tinh recorded positive growth due to undertaking many key projects inside and outside the province. At the same time, the solutions to promote the disbursement of public investment capital implemented effectively by the province have contributed to helping construction and installation enterprises make efforts to speed up project implementation progress and increase revenue.
