According to the Moscow Times, the head of the Russian Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin said that about 10,000 immigrants with Russian citizenship have been brought to the special military operation zone in Ukraine.
Mr. Alexander Bastrykin informed the above at the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum on June 27. Russian law stipulates that any man who successfully applies for Russian citizenship must register for military service.

According to Russian media, the country recently passed a law simplifying the process of obtaining Russian citizenship. This has led to an increase in migration to Russia. According to a report by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) cited by the state-run Vedomosti daily in May, more than 117,000 Central Asian migrants entered Russia in 2023, more than double the number in 2022. The real number may be higher due to illegal immigration.
Russia is now increasing its mobilization and deploying additional resources to support its special military operation in Ukraine. Earlier, President Vladimir Putin revealed that there were 700,000 Russian troops in the combat zone.
