After merging and rearranging administrative units, local police forces have taken drastic action and simultaneously deployed many solutions to ensure smooth implementation of administrative procedures.

Da Nang Police arrange 25 points to receive procedures for ID card

Immediately after completing the merger, Da Nang City Police quickly arranged 25 public reception points to carry out administrative procedures on CCCD and electronic identification. In addition to the main location at the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order of Da Nang City Police (183 Phan Dang Luu), the remaining 24 points are located at the police headquarters of wards and communes throughout the city.

In Hoi An Ward, the Ward Police receive about 150 files related to administrative procedures every day. The number of people coming to do procedures has increased dramatically, but the police force still ensures dedicated guidance and quick processing.

According to Hoi An Ward Police, many people think that after the merger, they will have to change their ID cards to adjust to the new administrative boundaries, although it is not mandatory. There are also some people who know that there is no need to change but still want to change their cards with the mentality of creating uniformity in documents to facilitate transactions. Therefore, all locations have recorded an increase in the number of people coming to do procedures compared to normal.

Present early in the morning at the citizen reception point No. 6 Ngo Gia Tu to make CCCD for her child, Ms. Hoang Ngoc Minh, Hoi An ward, said: "Although there were many people coming to do it, everyone was guided enthusiastically. The procedure was done quickly, without having to wait too long."

Captain Le Quang Nam, a police officer in Hoi An ward, said: "Immediately after taking up the task at the new unit, we proactively reviewed equipment and human resources and arranged for continuous work, even after office hours, to serve the people. Although there were difficulties in the beginning, we always tried our best with the spirit of 'working until the end of the work, not until the end of the day'."

Along with the procedures for issuing CCCD, the police of wards and communes in Da Nang are also synchronously implementing the work of registering permanent and temporary residence, issuing electronic identification and handling vehicle records.

According to statistics from the City Police from July 1 to present, the total number of ID records received is 1,568, and level 2 electronic identification is 1,002.

Gia Lai : 38 CCCD issuance points, working continuously to serve the people

In Gia Lai, after the administrative unit merger, the demand for issuing CCCD and electronic identification increased sharply. The provincial police quickly established 38 ID card issuance points throughout the area, including 27 points in Gia Lai (old) and 11 points in the area of Binh Dinh province (old).

Lieutenant Colonel Do Trung Thanh, Deputy Head of the Registration Guidance Team, Residence Management, and CCCD Management Level (Administrative Police Department for Social Order), said: "Many people, although not required, still proactively change their ID cards to synchronize their document information. The police force has been working continuously to ensure the best service for the people's needs."

According to data from the Gia Lai Provincial Police Department of Administrative Management of Social Order, the ID card issuance point at 69 Hung Vuong can process 120 ID card applications and 200 electronic identification applications every day.

In addition to receiving applications at fixed locations, Gia Lai Provincial Police also organize mobile ID card issuance teams to remote areas. "We coordinate with the commune police to widely disseminate information, helping people not to have to travel far or wait long. Currently, commune-level ID card issuance points accept applications from all localities in the province, regardless of household registration as before," Lieutenant Colonel Do Trung Thanh added.

With the spirit of "serving the people", the police force has been affirming its core role in administrative reform, bringing satisfaction and trust to the people during the period of merging and rearranging administrative units.
