Vietnam Festival in Latvia 2025: Spreading culture, cooperation opportunities

On the afternoon of August 30, at Vermanes Garden Park in the capital Riga, the "Vietnam Festival in Latvia 2025" took place enthusiastically, attracting the participation of more than 1,000 visitors.

The event was organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in the Kingdom of Sweden (also in Latvia) in coordination with the Vietnamese community in Latvia, on the occasion of Vietnam National Day September 2.

Speaking at the festival, Ambassador Tran Van Tuan affirmed: "The event not only promotes Vietnamese culture, people and products to Latvian friends, but also contributes to promoting understanding, friendship and economic cooperation between the two countries."

The Ambassador emphasized his desire to make the festival an annual activity, playing the role of a cultural and trade bridge between Vietnam and Latvia in the coming years.

LCCI representative highly appreciated the significance of the Vietnam Festival in Latvia 2025.

Representatives of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) also highly appreciated the significance of the event, considering it an important first step in expanding trade and investment cooperation between businesses of the two countries.

The festival was held for the first time in Latvia with 8 booths, offering diverse experiences: from traditional Vietnamese cuisine (pho, fried spring rolls, coffee...) to handicrafts, cultural products and commercial items of interest in the international market.

Many Latvian tourists expressed their impressions of the unique culinary flavors, the sophistication of handicrafts as well as the potential of Vietnamese goods.

'Vietnam Festival in Latvia 2025' is expected to become an annual event.

For the Vietnamese community in Latvia, the festival is an opportunity to meet, exchange, and honor the national culture and language. The booths directly prepared by overseas Vietnamese contributed to the success of the event, while also creating opportunities to consume and promote Vietnamese products in the local market.

With a successful start, “Vietnam Festival in Latvia 2025” is expected to become an annual event, contributing to spreading the image of a beautiful, friendly and potential Vietnam to the people of Latvia and internationally.
