The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on the morning of November 23 (local time) that the Israeli air force had attacked 300 Hamas targets in the past 24 hours.

These attacks targeted underground combat tunnels, improvised explosive device (IED) storage facilities, IED manufacturing sites, and anti-tank missile launch sites.

Specifically, Israeli ground forces are also continuing to attack Hamas targets in the Jabalia area in northern Gaza. In addition to destroying several terrorist groups in the north, the IDF discovered another tunnel inside a mosque.

In Beit Hanoun, Israeli forces raided a tunnel in an agricultural area and discovered weapons and tunnels in a residential area in the area.

Sirens sounded in Ashkelon and Kerem Shalom (southern Israel) as well as in communities near the Lebanese border on the morning of November 23.

Since October 7, Israel has launched more than 10,000 missiles and drones into the Gaza Strip in response to previous attacks by Hamas forces.

The Israeli attacks came just ahead of a humanitarian ceasefire with Hamas, scheduled to take effect on November 24.

Speaking to AFP, an Israeli official noted that the country would not stop fighting in Gaza or release hostages before November 24.

Israeli National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi also said the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas will take effect one day later than originally scheduled.

A senior US official told CNN that the decision to delay the deal was made by Israel, along with Qatar and Egypt, after consulting with the US to ensure there were no incidents and to prepare for logistical operations.

“The agreement has been approved and will remain in effect. The parties are finalizing the logistics, especially to carry out the hostage exchange on the first day,” US National Security Council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson said on the evening of November 22.
