On the morning of July 10, the Central Committee for Internal Affairs held a nationwide in-person and online conference to review the work of the Party's Internal Affairs sector in the first 6 months of 2025 and to disseminate and implement the conclusions and directions of General Secretary To Lam on internal affairs, preventing and combating corruption, waste, negativity and judicial reform.

Comrade Phan Dinh Trac - Member of the Politburo , Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission chaired the conference at the Central bridge. At the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee bridge, comrade Kim Ngoc Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the conference. Also attending the conference were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission, and internal affairs agencies.

At the conference, comrade Vo Van Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, thoroughly grasped the content of the conclusion and direction of comrade General Secretary To Lam on internal affairs, prevention and fight against corruption, waste, negativity and judicial reform at the working session with the Central Internal Affairs Commission on May 22, 2025.

Comrade Vo Van Dung said that at the working session, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the Central Internal Affairs Commission, with its role as the Party's "strategic advisory body" on internal affairs, preventing and combating corruption, waste, negativity and judicial reform. Thereby, it is necessary to closely follow three major orientations: internal affairs work must aim at maintaining stability for national development; effectively serving the country's socio-economic development requirements at present and in the coming period; closely following and serving the goal of building a clean and strong Party, enhancing the Party's governing capacity and leadership capacity.

The General Secretary especially emphasized 6 tasks that need to be focused on from now until the 14th National Party Congress. In particular, proactively researching and advising on specific policies and solutions in the fields of internal affairs, preventing and combating corruption, waste, negativity, judicial reform, meeting new requirements and tasks in streamlining the organization of the political system, and reorganizing administrative units at all levels.

Focus on advising, directing, urging, speeding up the progress of inspection, investigation, and final handling of cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negativity. Coordinate with relevant agencies to monitor, grasp the situation, advise the Politburo and the Secretariat to lead and direct the timely resolution of complex and emerging issues regarding national security and social order and safety, to prevent the emergence of hot spots, and to avoid being passive and surprised.

Coordinate well in performing the advisory task on law-making work, so that this work is carried out in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 66-NQ/TW, dated April 30, 2025 of the Politburo on innovation in law-making and enforcement work to meet the requirements of national development in the new era.

Regarding the results of the work in the first 6 months of 2025, Comrade Bui Van Nghiem - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission said that the Central Internal Affairs Commission has actively researched and advised on many major and strategic policies on internal affairs, preventing and combating corruption, waste, negativity and judicial reform. Actively and proactively coordinating to grasp the situation, strengthen monitoring, guidance, urging, inspection, supervision, promptly advising and directing the handling of complicated and emerging issues, contributing to ensuring security, social order and safety.

In 6 months, more than 3,400 complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections were received and processed. The Provincial and City Party Committees' Internal Affairs Committees organized more than 340 meetings and dialogues with citizens.
