Received nearly 80,000 administrative procedure records
On July 10, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City to hold a press conference to provide information on socio -economic issues in the city.
Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Ngoc Hang said that after nearly 2 weeks of implementing the 2-level local government model, the operations of localities have basically stabilized. From July 1-9, the City received nearly 80,000 administrative procedure files, of which more than 48,000 files were at the commune level. Information systems are operating stably, and digital infrastructure basically meets requirements.
Some wards and communes still lack equipment, the City has directed relevant units to urgently support and complete facilities to improve service quality for people and businesses.
At the Department of Home Affairs, the administrative boundary merger did not create new procedures or cause disruption to people and businesses. Before July 1, the Department of Home Affairs submitted to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to announce 162 administrative procedures under its authority, including 102 provincial-level procedures and 60 commune-level procedures, ensuring continuity and transparency.
The Department has arranged personnel in 3 areas (formerly Ho Chi Minh City, former Binh Duong, former Ba Ria - Vung Tau ) to guide and receive documents, and at the same time update the administrative procedure settlement system, seals, agency names, etc. This is to maintain stable operations, without creating administrative barriers.

Promote job connection solutions, support staff after streamlining
With the motto "no one is left behind" in the process of organizational transformation and socio-economic development in the new period, the Department of Home Affairs has been advising the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to promote traditional and online supply-demand connection channels; organize periodic job fairs at job service centers and in ward and commune clusters, especially for unemployed people, workers affected by organizational restructuring, and new graduates.
At the same time, the Department of Home Affairs has expanded its links with other localities, state-owned enterprises, FDI enterprises and programs to send workers to work abroad, in order to diversify employment opportunities for people.
For cadres, civil servants, public employees, part-time workers, and workers who quit their jobs after restructuring the apparatus, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee approved the Project to support vocational training for career conversion; job referrals; purchase and hire-purchase of social housing... with the following policies: Support for job referrals associated with career conversion orientation; support for vocational training associated with career conversion; support for loans to solve employment; support for purchase and hire-purchase of social housing.
According to the assessment of the employment service centers under the Department of Home Affairs, it is expected that in the third quarter, the labor recruitment demand of enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City will be about 85,000 - 90,000 people.
