At the meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, the two sides had a comprehensive and substantive exchange of views on bilateral relations and international and regional issues of mutual concern in a sincere and friendly atmosphere. Minister Wang Yi congratulated Vietnam on its successful implementation of the apparatus streamlining revolution and its preparations for the upcoming 14th National Party Congress.
The two Ministers affirmed the top importance of the Vietnam-China relationship in each country's foreign policy; expressed their delight at the strong and positive developments in bilateral relations, especially the increasingly frequent and effective high-level exchanges between the two Parties and countries; increasingly close people-to-people exchanges and cooperation between localities of the two countries, thereby continuing to deepen political trust and consolidate the friendly and good neighborly relations for the benefit of the people of the two countries.
The two sides emphasized the need to strengthen coordination and effectively implement high-level agreements to continue promoting the healthy, stable and sustainable development of bilateral relations.
On that basis, the two sides agreed to continue to increase regular high-level exchanges and contacts, coordinate well in organizing important foreign affairs activities from now until the end of 2025, promote the effective implementation of dialogue and cooperation mechanisms between the two sides, including the 17th Meeting of the Vietnam-China Bilateral Cooperation Steering Committee.

The two sides agreed to continue to effectively implement the agreements reached in specific areas, focusing on promoting strategic connectivity in transport, giving high priority to railway connectivity cooperation; improving the operational efficiency of working groups in various fields and promoting cooperation in innovation; closely coordinating in border management and protection and building a peaceful, friendly and cooperative border.
Regarding maritime issues, the two sides emphasized the importance of seriously implementing the agreements and common perceptions of the high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and two countries; fully, comprehensively and effectively implementing the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC); and working with ASEAN countries to promote negotiations and soon reach a substantive, effective and efficient Code of Conduct in the East Sea (COC) in accordance with international law and the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
At a meeting with Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son congratulated Algeria on officially joining the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC).
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister affirmed that this will be an important milestone, creating momentum to promote cooperation in all fields between Algeria and Southeast Asian countries; emphasizing that Vietnam highly appreciates Algeria's role in the African region and attaches importance to promoting the traditional friendship between the two countries to develop more practically and effectively.

The Algerian Foreign Minister thanked Vietnam for its support for Algeria's accession to the TAC, affirming that Algeria always cherishes and attaches importance to promoting cooperation with its traditional friend Vietnam; highly appreciated the effectiveness of existing cooperation projects between the two countries, especially in the oil and gas sector, and wished to further strengthen cooperation in this field; and emphasized that the two sides need to expand cooperation to new areas with great potential.
Regarding the direction of cooperation in the coming time, the two sides agreed to promote the exchange of delegations at high and all levels, thereby consolidating political trust, promoting the effectiveness of existing cooperation mechanisms; promoting cooperation projects in areas of mutual interest such as oil and gas, trade, construction, mining, pharmaceuticals, Halal industry, agriculture, etc.; especially having new ways to further enhance the effectiveness of cooperation, including promoting specific cooperation agreements and projects between the two countries. The two sides also affirmed to coordinate and support each other at multilateral forums, especially at the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement, and strengthen South-South cooperation.
