Yen Bai and Lao Cai Business Associations implement merger activities

On the afternoon of July 9, the Business Association of Yen Bai province (old) held a conference to review the results of the first 6 months of 2025 and deploy the merger of the Business Association of Lao Cai province (old) and Yen Bai province (old).

Leaders of the Yen Bai Province Business Association (old) informed about the proposal to merge the Business Associations of the two provinces.

Yen Bai Provincial People's Council (old) has 874 members and 12 member associations.

In the first 6 months of 2025, member enterprises have strived to overcome difficulties to maintain production, business and services in accordance with the law, actively invested in innovation of technology and production equipment, ensuring stable jobs and income for workers.

The provincial Business Association has performed well in its tasks of mobilizing and gathering businesses to have opportunities to cooperate, link, support and help each other in career development, improve production and business efficiency, protect the legitimate rights and interests of members; established a Board to support digital transformation and business innovation; organized a training program on digital transformation for over 100 cadres, business leaders and managers...

Enterprises have also participated in solving social problems, building new rural areas, eliminating hunger and reducing poverty, supporting the poor to celebrate Tet... with a total budget of tens of billions of VND.

Presenting flowers to congratulate comrade Vu Vinh Quang, Honorary Member of the Provincial People's Council, on completing his duties and retiring.

Delegates expressed opinions and discussed at the Conference.

At the Conference, the Provincial Association of Enterprises approved the draft on merging the Associations of the two provinces, and the content on the personnel of the Executive Committee after the merger.

Accordingly, it is proposed that comrade Nguyen Huy Long hold the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Lao Cai province; the Yen Bai area (old) has 1 office.

At the same time, maintain the comrades in the standing committee and executive committee of the association in the Yen Bai area (old) and propose that enterprises in the Yen Bai area (old) with party members be allowed to participate in the Party Committee of the new Lao Cai Provincial Association of Enterprises.

At the same time, organize a survey, review, and complete the list of members, and plan to organize the ceremony to announce the new Lao Cai Provincial Association of Business Associations decisions.
