The program to introduce Vietnamese tourism in Germany is one of the activities in a series of programs to introduce Vietnamese tourism in Europe. At the opening ceremony of the program, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Mr. Ha Van Sieu said: Germany has always been a key market for Vietnamese tourism. In 2024, Vietnam welcomed nearly 250,000 German visitors, a complete recovery compared to the pre-pandemic period. “German tourists are known for their tendency to seek profound experiences in culture, history and nature; love long journeys, be environmentally friendly and respect local identity. We realize that you not only want relaxing trips, but also want to truly live and immerse yourself in local life, experiencing authenticity in every moment. “Slow travel” associated with sustainable values, environmental protection and personalized experiences, is becoming a mainstream trend in German tourism tastes,” Deputy Director Ha Van Sieu emphasized.

In recent years, Vietnam has focused on developing tourism products in a specialized, sustainable and unique direction, while focusing on personalizing experiences to meet the demanding needs of German tourists. Heritage tourism products in Hanoi, Hue, Hoi An, Ninh Binh... bring a journey to explore the depth of Vietnamese history, architecture and culture. Nature tours such as: Exploring Ha Long Bay, trekking in Sa Pa, Ha Giang , or exploring the majestic cave system in Phong Nha - Ke Bang and the mysterious Central Highlands will bring visitors to immerse themselves in the breathtaking beauty of Vietnam's nature. Sea and island tourism combined with cultural experiences in Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Hoi An, Quy Nhon are also increasingly attracting German tourists.
