Currently, the area is preserving over 1,200 Muong gongs, nearly 19,000 stilt houses, developing 10 folk singing clubs, 1 Muong mo club, 3 poetry clubs, 5 Muong gong clubs, 2 folk singing and dancing clubs, 1 Muong ethnic brocade weaving cooperative. Along with that, the Muong Vang community also preserves many unique customs and indigenous culinary quintessence. In particular, the beauty of ethnic costumes is still regularly used by people in daily life, especially on holidays and festivals. Traditional festivals are preserved and restored. The system of relics, landscapes and landscapes is rich, typically the National Monument of Hang Xom Trai (Muong Vang commune) and Mai Da Lang Vang (Yen Phu commune).
Nowadays, the forms of folk games are at risk of being forgotten, due to the impact of the market mechanism on cultural and spiritual life, the development of the internet, and games that overwhelm some traditional musical instruments and folk games. In the communes of Muong Vang region, folk games and Muong ethnic sports still thrive.
Mrs. Bui Thi Vinh in Ram Co hamlet, Thuong Coc commune confided: Muong people in Muong Vang area are always proud of their ethnic origin, reminding andeducating their children to preserve their precious cultural heritage. It is gratifying that generations of Muong community here are always actively promoting cultural values by enthusiastically participating in activities to restore folk games, festivals, weaving villages; exchange programs of duets, thuong rang, bo meng of Muong people with clubs of other communes and provinces.
Ms. Bui Thi Tham - who has many years of experience in cultural preservation in the Muong Vang community, shared: Muong culture has permeated and spread in the spiritual life of every Muong person. A clear proof is that Muong folk song clubs in the area regularly operate, organize exchange activities and have many innovations in introducing and promoting Muong culture on the internet. Hamlet and commune communities regularly organize games of playing mat, playing gloves, walking on stilts; traditional sports such as crossbow shooting, stick pushing, tug of war... attract a large number of people from all walks of life to participate.
In recent times, in order to contribute to the preservation and promotion of the cultural values of the Muong ethnic group and the "Hoa Binh Culture", the support of the Party and the State in terms of policies and guidelines; the attention and direction of the Party Committee, the government, the sectors and organizations in guiding, implementing and organizing cultural movements and activities are very noteworthy. In the area, 9 traditional festivals have been restored, typically: the Du Voi Festival, the But Hang Khu Dung Festival, the Xuong Dong Festival... Every year, the government organizes meetings to encourage artisans, researchers, collectors and practitioners of traditional culture. Within the framework of project 6 on "Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development", musical instruments and costumes have been supported for the art troupes of the communes and Muong mo shirts for Muong mo clubs. In addition, annual traditional festivals are maintained. Many classes on intangible cultural heritage, sports competitions, cultural and artistic exchanges are organized. Folk games, exchanges of traditional musical instruments, dances, folk songs, and Muong gong cultural spaces have the opportunity to develop, creating a practice environment for artisans as well as a good environment for folk cultural activities.
