On the afternoon of July 1, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee held a ceremony to hand over decisions on personnel. At the ceremony, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee announced and handed over the decision of the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to appoint 14 Department Directors, Heads of sectors; and 140 deputies.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Thanh Nghi, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Van Duoc, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Le, former Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, former Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Dang Minh Thong, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
With Vice Chairmen of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee: Nguyen Van Tho, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee; Nguyen Loc Ha, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee; Nguyen Van Dung; Bui Xuan Cuong; Tran Thi Dieu Thuy; Bui Minh Thanh.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc congratulated the comrades who received the decision on cadres. According to the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the appointment of key leaders of 15 specialized agencies of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee is the result of an objective and comprehensive assessment of the capacity, qualifications, moral qualities and work experience of each comrade.
Comrade Nguyen Van Duoc believes that with enthusiasm and high sense of responsibility, the cadres who received the decision today will maximize their abilities, together with the collective of civil servants and public employees of the department and industry, unite, agree and excellently complete all assigned tasks.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also emphasized the direction of General Secretary To Lam: the unification of the three localities' space is not a simple accumulation, but the crystallization of common intelligence and development will, to form a megacity - a financial, production, logistics and innovation center of regional and world stature.
Together, we will achieve the goal of making Ho Chi Minh City one of the top 100 most livable cities in the world by 2030 and vision to 2045. To achieve the above goal, he asked city officials to focus on performing their duties well.
He said that now is the time to test the endurance of cadres and civil servants. Therefore, every cadre and party member, especially leaders and heads, must always maintain moral qualities, persevere in training, be exemplary, go with their words and actions, and always put the interests of the nation and people above all else in every decision and action.
“Comrades must be highly determined in renewing thinking, awareness and transformation in the entire team of city officials, must turn the “ask-give” mechanism into a service mechanism, the city government must be truly streamlined, strong, efficient, effective and efficient. Take efficiency and the satisfaction of the people and businesses as a measure to evaluate the work of each official, each department, each locality”, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc reminded the city officials.
He also requested that officials of departments and branches continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the policies, resolutions and directives of the Central Committee and the General Secretary, making the entire city's political system, especially the two-level local government apparatus, operate smoothly and effectively from the first day of work, meeting the requirements of serving the people better and better.
Along with that, promote solidarity, democracy, creativity in leadership, direction, building a strong collective, discipline, cooperation after the merger; ensure unity and synchronization in the work process. Pay special attention to administrative reform, digital transformation in the spirit of Resolution 57 of the Politburo , always consider people and businesses as the center, the subject to serve, the driving force for the development of the city, so it is necessary to focus on timely handling of administrative records, recommendations of people, businesses...
On behalf of the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City's departments and branches, speaking at the acceptance of the task, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology Lam Dinh Thang affirmed that the new task is not only a source of pride, but also a great responsibility before history, before the people, and before the organization.
