On July 1, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a ceremony to announce and award personnel decisions.
The ceremony was chaired by comrades: Nguyen Thanh Nghi, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Van Duoc, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Dang Minh Thong, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
Also attending were members of the Standing Committee, City Party Committee members, leaders of advisory and support agencies of the City Party Committee, leaders of agencies and units under the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
At the ceremony, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee announced and presented the Politburo 's Decision on approving comrade Dang Minh Thong (Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (new), term 2020-2025.
Previously, the Politburo appointed comrade Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (old), to hold the position of Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (new), term 2020-2025.
Along with that, the Politburo appointed 5 comrades to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (new), term 2020-2025 including:
Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi , member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (old), holds the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (new), term 2020-2025.
The new Deputy Secretaries of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term include: Comrade Nguyen Van Duoc, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee (to be appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee (new), term 2021-2026); Comrade Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee (to be appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council (new), term 2021-2026); Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
Comrade Dang Minh Thong was born in 1977, hometown Phu Chanh ward, Tan Uyen city, Binh Duong province (old). His professional qualifications are Master of Engineering, Construction Engineer, and Senior Political Theory.
