On the afternoon of July 2, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh - Head of the Steering Committee for the Exhibition of Socio -Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of National Day chaired a working session with ministries, branches and functional agencies on the preparation and implementation of the Exhibition of National Achievements on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of National Day with the theme of 80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Truong Sa Street, Dong Anh Commune, Hanoi City).
Attending the meeting were Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung - Head of the Organizing Committee of the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, along with representatives of a number of ministries, branches and agencies.

2025 marks the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's independence. This is an important milestone that opens a time of special historical significance in the development process of the Vietnamese nation.
Over 80 years of building and defending the Fatherland, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam , our country has achieved great and comprehensive achievements in all aspects of social life.
The exhibition of national achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day is a practical activity to honor outstanding achievements in the country's development through the periods; affirm the leadership role of the Party, the management of the State, the consensus, creativity and efforts of the entire nation in the cause of national construction and development.
At the same time, it contributes to propagating andeducating the tradition of patriotism, strengthening people's belief in the path of innovation and sustainable development. It is an opportunity to promote the image of a dynamic, innovative Vietnam that is deeply integrated with the international community.
In particular, in the context of the country implementing the goals of the 10-year Socio-Economic Development Strategy (2021 - 2030), towards the 14th National Party Congress, organizing the Exhibition is even more important in summarizing the past journey, inspiring innovation and creativity for the next stage of development.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh delivered the opening speech at the meeting.
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh - Head of the Exhibition Steering Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in building the organizational structure, planning, completing the project and related documents as well as the coordination of departments, ministries, branches and localities. At the same time, he said that the Exhibition Organization Project was issued on July 1, 2025. This is the basis for agencies and units to implement.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh requested ministries, branches and functional agencies to report on the implementation of work, related contents, and the next implementation tasks in July; specify difficulties and obstacles and propose tasks, solutions and recommendations to handle outstanding issues, all in the spirit of 6 clear: Clear people, clear work, clear time, clear responsibility, clear products, clear results.
At the meeting, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung - Head of the Exhibition Organizing Committee reported on the specific contents of the Project to organize the Exhibition of National Achievements on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of National Day, the key tasks that need to be focused on in coordination between ministries, branches and localities; consulting units reported on the ideas and design of the Exhibition.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that the guiding viewpoint for organizing the Exhibition is to portray a comprehensive picture of the 80-year journey of protecting, building and developing the country, ensuring inclusiveness, comprehensiveness, objectivity, honesty, feasibility, effectiveness and great influence.
Enhance the inspiration of patriotism and national spirit through vivid and rich forms of expression, combining specialized information with entertaining experiences. Create an exhibition space that harmoniously and reasonably combines with a service space, entertainment, and recreation that is well-organized, attractive, and brings positive experiences to the public, especially the young generation...
At the same time, the organization must be solemn, effective, cohesive, and harmonious between exhibition activities and supporting activities and services. The design and decoration must be consistent in the overall picture, ensuring openness, cohesion, impression, and high aesthetics. The display form must have highlights, applying modern, vivid, and rich techniques and technologies. The activities in the Exhibition must be practical, rich, diverse, unique, attractive, effective, focused, and economical, not ostentatious, and avoid waste.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh stated: The exhibition must ensure international quality and class requirements.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized that towards the 80th anniversary of National Day, we will have a series of events and the Exhibition is one of them. The events organized, each event has practical and important meaning in promoting and introducing the image of the country and people of Vietnam.
In particular, the theme of the Exhibition was chosen very meaningfully, reflecting the purpose of the Exhibition in honoring the 80-year history of building and defending the Fatherland; introducing outstanding achievements, promoting the image of the country and Vietnamese people, educating traditions and spreading the aspiration to rise up, the aspiration to develop, thereby contributing to building and consolidating the great national unity bloc, consolidating the people's belief in the leadership of the Party and State, and belief in the bright future of development of the country.
To organize the Exhibition, the Government has set very high requirements. Accordingly, the Exhibition must be rich and comprehensive in content, closely following the selected theme. The methods of introduction to the public must be very diverse, including artifacts, pictures, achievements in developing digital products and digital platforms. In addition, the Government also wants localities to select and introduce cultural characteristics, local specialties as well as art programs.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh stated that the Exhibition must leave a strong impression on viewers, not only domestic people but also international tourists.
Regarding the quality of organization, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh stated that the Exhibition must meet international quality and class requirements; after the Exhibition, it must leave a strong impression on viewers, not only domestic people but also international visitors.
After receiving the areas for implementation, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh requested ministries, branches and localities to immediately start implementing the tasks, ensuring the requirements set out according to the objectives. The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism synthesized the recommendations, proposals, difficulties and problems of ministries, branches and localities in the process of preparing and organizing the Exhibition to promptly handle, remove or propose solutions.
"The Government trusts and entrusts ministries, branches, and localities and has great expectations for you so that we can have a truly impressive and convincing exhibition for domestic people and international visitors, thereby actively contributing to introducing the achievements and images of the country and people of Vietnam," said Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh.
