Especially in the food sector, achieving certifications such as ISO/HACCP, OCOP not only builds a brand of safe products for the health of consumers, but also creates a foundation for sustainable development of businesses and establishments, especially in the context of consumers increasingly interested in the origin of products.

Quach Tet facility (Tan Thanh ward) specializes in producing and trading powdered products made from various nuts. Currently, the facility has 6 products, of which 5 products have achieved OCOP certification (3 4-star products, 2 3-star products). Modern production lines, supplying the market with thousands of finished products each month.

Ms. Le Hong Diep (Mr. Quach Tet's wife) shared: "The facility's products have entered supermarkets in and outside the province. Our criteria is to use organic ingredients, no additives, no preservatives. In addition to ensuring the quality as declared on the packaging, the facility pays special attention to food hygiene and safety. Therefore, the entire production process is designed to be closed, ensuring cleanliness and food safety for consumers."

In Ca Mau province, quality measurement management activities have been strictly implemented in recent times, contributing to protecting the market and enhancing consumer confidence in goods and services in the province.

In June, the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality (Department of Science and Technology) inspected 41 establishments, including 11 petroleum businesses, 8 gold and jewelry businesses, 1 children's toy business and 21 establishments with products participating in the province's Product Origin Tracing Portal. A total of 48 measuring devices were inspected and 2 samples of RON95 gasoline were taken for testing. The results showed that no violations were detected.

Since the beginning of the year, the total number of inspected establishments has been 122, reaching 111% of the annual plan. Of these, there are 44 petroleum business establishments, 12 gold and jewelry business establishments, 1 taxi business, 1 children's toy business establishment and 64 establishments with products participating in the provincial product traceability portal. Through inspection, 3 petroleum business establishments were found to have violated the measurement field, and the files have been transferred to the Department Inspectorate for handling according to regulations.

Mr. Le Viet Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality, said: “In addition to the work of checking measurement standards, each year the Department collects over 100 samples of goods circulating on the market for quality survey. Unqualified samples will be reported to relevant departments and branches for coordination in inspection and handling.”
