Accordingly, Vung Tau City has selected tourism product development models to build a plan to develop night tourism products in accordance with the advantages and practical conditions in the locality, in accordance with the orientation of developing night tourism products of the province and the needs of tourists. In particular, Vung Tau is focusing on developing a night food street on Quang Trung - Bai Truoc Street. At the same time, this street is where activities take place such as: Organizing Spring Flower Festival, art exhibitions, cultural, artistic and sports events. In the coming time, the city will pilot the model of "Sidewalk Economic Street" on Tran Hung Dao Street, Ward 1; night tourism activities will be organized in the area of Co Giang Street, Ward 4; pilot the implementation of "Rach Dua Night Food Market"; Night music program in the area of Bai Truoc Park, at Ho May Tourist Area.
The model of developing night tourism products attracts a large number of tourists to participate in night activities, especially on weekends and holidays.
In the Square - Back Beach area, Quang Trung Park - Front Beach area has been upgraded with investment in infrastructure, lighting system, and expanded space for street art performances on weekends. Street art performances often take place on weekend evenings, attracting a large number of tourists to visit and enjoy.
Vung Tau City is researching and promulgating regulations on the operating hours of night services in the area in accordance with the orientation of Vietnam's night tourism products and the socio-economic development orientation of the province and locality. With the aim of expanding the operating hours of coastal service and entertainment establishments (bars, cafes, restaurants, etc.) to serve tourists experiencing night tourism services.
In Con Dao district, currently, Con Dao night market has upgraded the electrical system to meet the needs of small traders, no longer having power outages; renovating the market area, temporarily moving households to the night market; expanding the product lines, diversifying cuisine; arranging reasonably and scientifically, serving the nighttime culinary needs of tourists. The night market serves tourists, combined with promoting local specialties.
Con Dao has a system of outstanding night tourism products: Night tourism products visiting Hang Duong Cemetery at night; especially night nature discovery tours such as: Tour "watching sea turtles lay eggs" at night and releasing baby turtles into the ocean; Fishing and squid fishing tours for entertainment at sea; Tours to watch forest animals foraging at night and experiences of relaxation, entertainment, and recuperation at ranger stations.
The Provincial Museum and Library is also developing a plan to implement a night tour at the Con Dao National Special Relic Site on the basis of 4.0 digital technology and 3D Mapping. In addition, Con Dao also regularly organizes music performances, landscape lighting, and major cultural and historical events of the country and locality.
In Long Dat district, focus on developing local night food areas such as: An Nhut Countryside Market Food Area, with 67 food stalls, welcoming thousands of locals and tourists every day to experience local cuisine; Night food area in the area of Road 14, Long Hai town (next to Charm Long Hai) to create a service space for locals and tourists; Night food area on Tran Hung Dao street (embankment road) in Phuoc Hai town with typical services: Providing food products and services introducing traditional cuisine of Dat Do district.
In Xuyen Moc district, the Xuyen Moc Night Market product has been formed with a total area of 7,074 m2 . Organizing the night market helps Xuyen Moc district create a highlight for tourism, with more destinations for sightseeing, entertainment, experience, and shopping in the evening for tourists and local people.
Ho Tram Crossroads Walking Street attracts a large number of visitors on weekends. Currently, Ho Tram Crossroads Walking Street displays OCOP products combined with a pilot night market serving tourists at Ho Tram Walking Street.
In Ba Ria City, the culinary night street has been put into operation since December 2024. Ba Ria culinary night street stretches along two routes: Le Thanh Duy (Phuoc Trung ward) and Hoang Viet (Long Huong ward). Of which, Le Thanh Duy street has 130 stalls, Hoang Viet street has 45 stalls. Hoang Viet street operates from morning to 10pm every day. Le Thanh Duy street operates from 6pm to midnight.
According to the People's Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, after a period of implementation, the night tourism product models in the area have initially achieved the following results: Attracting a large number of tourists to participate in night activities, especially on weekends and holidays; Contributing to increasing revenue for tourism service establishments; Strengthening the image of the province's tourism as a safe and dynamic destination both day and night; Creating more jobs for local workers working in night service sectors.
In the report, the Provincial People's Committee also proposed that the Government issue a special mechanism to support the development of the night-time economy in key tourist localities.
Propose the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to issue regulations on operating hours for night-time products and services for tourists; Organize training and share experiences among selected pilot localities.
