UNESCO officially approves the first cross-border World Heritage site between Vietnam and Laos

On July 13, 2025, at the 47th Session of the World Heritage Committee in Paris (France), UNESCO officially adopted a historic decision: adjusting the boundaries of the World Natural Heritage Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park (Quang Tri province, Vietnam), including Hin Nam No National Park (Khammuane province, Laos), creating the first cross-border world heritage named "Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park and Hin Nam No National Park".
