According to this announcement, the name of the expressway is "Ho Tram Urban Expressway - Long Thanh Airport". This expressway starts at the intersection with Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City and Provincial Road 991, Phu My City; the end point is at the intersection with Provincial Road 994 (coastal road) in Xuyen Moc District.
In terms of scale, in the period of 2021-2030, invest in a complete 4-lane urban expressway, with a design speed of 100-120 km/h, complete the intersection at Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City, National Highway 56, National Highway 55 and provincial road intersections to connect with provincial roads 765, 997, 328, 994. The period after 2030 will invest with a scale of 6 lanes. The total land use area is estimated at about 365 hectares.
Regarding the form of investment, the project is expected to be invested in under the public-private partnership (PPP) method. The project is divided into component projects, including a site clearance component project implemented using public investment capital. The construction investment component project is implemented under the PPP method.
According to the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, the expressway connecting Ho Tram urban area - Long Thanh airport has a total length of about 41 km; the total investment capital is expected to be about 17 trillion VND. Of which, the cost of site clearance is about 4.5 trillion VND. This is a direct connection route to Long Thanh airport, the fastest and shortest transportation option to develop the Ho Tram area more effectively. At the same time, it creates a boost for infrastructure development and strongly promotes connectivity in the Southeast region.
